If the microsoft conference did not have its higher share of multi format AAA titles on its presentation it would have done much worse. Sony has all those games too and much much more @ £349 and I get free games with my existing PS+ subscription. Wow, incredible. 10 out of 10.

The console has such a nice design too.

This statement makes next to no sense.

MS showed 17 Xbox One games, 2 or 3 of which are coming to PS4.

I didn't count the number of PS4 games Sony showed, but I know only a handful of them were PS4 exclusives.

In terms of games shown I probably would've given the Sony show a 7/10, but that huge F-U that they gave to Microsoft at the end and the price bumps it up to an 8/10. For me the best announcements weren't actually any game reveals but the stuff they revealed about the console compared to the Xbox One.

Sony - [8] A knockout blow at the end, but not an awful lot else we didn't already know about. Console details more exciting than the game reveals tells its own story. Destiny looked decent, but the demonstration was a little awkward. Indie support a big plus.

That said, while Sony appears to have 'won' E3, I don't necessarily buy that it will translate into sales. The COD/FIFA crowd will be won over by early exclusive content on XBone (regardless of DRM/second-hand concerns) and that's a big market. Whether MS's restrictions will filter through to the mass market will play a big part in determining which console triumphs.

Sony - 10/10

The no DRM, always offline and price announcements made the conference. Some great looking games coming too: FF14, The Order, Infamous, Killzone, all those lovely indie games. It was a shame they didn't have more Vita announcements, hopefully some more info will come out the next couple of days.

Microsoft - 9/10 Really good look at some future PS4 titles here such as Metal Gear Solid V, The Witcher 3 and Battlefield 4. Gutted I won't get to play Below or D4. But these are the choices we make. So glad Titanfall is coming to PC. Really good show of games but sadly that elephant in the room of 'we don't actually like our customers' is still very much there.

Sony - 8/10 gooseberry fool pacing, too much time not spent on PS4 games. inFAMOUS Second Son, The Order 1886, DriveClub and Knack all look great. Really excited to play Assassin's Creed IV and Watch_Dogs at launch. Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 took the right boxes for me but how long are they from release? Having the indies up there was a great statement to make. Destiny looked incredible!! The megaton at the end was just a brutal kick in the balls to Microsoft.

Sony 7/10 - Just like all Sony conferences they go on for too long, pacing was completely off. In terms of the information I'm happy as hell but the Sony exclusives did nothing for me. All about the 3rd party software that I know will come to the system. I know this conference was aimed at the western market but disappointed to see little to no japanese software from a japanese company. Still, I guess tha's where the Toyko gameshow comes in.

Yep. Definitely Sony won. Yep this doesn't translate into sales. But I would say this year most people and journos would say Sony won which might mean the PS4 is looked on favourably in games articles.

Nintendo - 5/10

I don't own a Wii U and nothing shown there really encouraged me to go out and get one, at least until 2014. Bayonetta and X look good but aside from that, seemed like the same old stuff. 40 minutes long and the biggest thing I got from it was 2014.

Nintendo 7/10 Smash Bros excites me and new Donkey Kong looked brilliant. I was loving the new 3D Mario until I realized it was for WiiU. strawberry float sake Nintendo. Really pissed off we're not getting a true 3D Mario platformer, but I've no doubt this'll be great anyway. Couldn't give a strawberry float about Mario Kart anymore. Same ol' gooseberry fool. It looked to be even re-using assets from previous games as well as the music. Wonderful 101 looks good as did what little we saw of Bayonetta. I think Nintendo are gonna have a very tough end of year.

6 out of 10, still nothing there to make me want a Wii U, I shall continue ignoring it. For some reason there ip just isn't standing the test of time anymore. I hope others like it though as I want them to carry on. Eventually they may tempt me back in.

Sony - 8/10

Easily the winners of E3. Could have done with a few more new exclusives but what they have is looking very good. The DRM and always on megaton was amazing and it's great to see that PS Plus is coming over with the instant game collection.

Nintendo - 4/10

Super Smash Bros. and practically nothing else of interest. Where the the hell are the new IPs? Very disappointing that the new Mario game turned out to not be a true Galaxy sequel.

Nintendo 6/10 Mario 3D World will probably be a good game, but I was expecting something with more scale. Smash Bros, DKC and Mario Kart looked fun, but they looked like Wii games put into HD, which makes me think Nintendo won't be releasing any games which make full use of the Wii U's technical abilities for a while.

Nintendo - 6

Out of all 3 main conferences this one probably had the most games that interest me and I'll end up buying. The low score is because we knew about most of them and the ones we didn't or were shown for the first time were very disappointing.

Lack of any surprise or real wow moments for a new console at a critical point in it's life really is a bit gooseberry fool.

Oh and it wasn't a conference :|

Sony > Microsoft > Nintendo.

I don't know what to do with the Wii U. I don't really want to wait for another year for epic megatons, only to face disappointment again.

Mario 3D Land 2 is a surprise. I loved the first one on the 3DS but I am very disappointed it isn't a proper 3D Mario game in vein of Mario64/Sunshine/Galaxy.

Mario Kart 8: Lost interest in this franchise after the disappointment that is the Wii version.

Super Smash Bros Melee: Same case as Mario Kart. Not even Mega Man can saved it for me.

Wind Waker: Would get this, of course. But I would expect a reveal of the new Zelda too.

Donkey Kong: Retro worked on this, really? Isn't the 3DS version enough?

Looks like the PS4, Vita and 3DS would be my main consoles this new generation. There are a few games for the PS3 that would keep it getting played. The Wii U? Not much.
