My wife is very worried about getting Ebola, because she works at a supermarket and regularly gets body fluids on her (spit on money from old people etc) and even though it's not here yet, if it does get here, she might be among the primary infected group because of stupid people.

I'd cover that off now with a divorce.

I'll just have her get disability and sponge off the government.

Wal-Mart. But in general have you ever seen old people at supermarkets? They're revolting.

With some of the rip-off prices, I can't blame them.

Ebola doesn't come from one country. And even if it did, how would you keep it in one country?

Ebola sounds scary (and is strawberry floating scary if you did catch it!) but it is not going to lead to the collapse of society like the media seem to want us to think. It is very hard to catch and would be reasonably easy to contain if there was an outbreak in a modern Western country.

You should be far more worried about catching the flu.

The flu?

I'd say you should be more worried about catching cancer since it's so prevalent. That, or any one of the other diseases or ills. Mental illness, car accident, stroke, etc.

I don't know why I bother to get up in the mornings.

I agree, but I was going with infectious diseases rather than ones where your own body turns on you or death from an idiot in a car crashing into you.

Heart disease is the biggest killer in the developed world, but we don’t gooseberry fool ourselves over fried chicken (unless it’s cooked badly).

Good luck, you live in the USA right? They'll probably give you barely enough to cover the bus fare to get down to the unemployment shelter and then call you the scum of the earth.

Can diarrhoea in and of itself kill you? If so, how?
