EDGE & OPM delivered on the same day. I like getting nice things through the letter box!

At least they haven't stooped so low as to go for Wrestling covers, Smurphy.

I'd stop buying it.

What, if they started putting big sweaty man-hulks on the covers?

That cover is nice, Spurphy hates Jrpgs if I remember correctly so he's clearly biased.

I think it's quite a nice cover, myself.

It's not bad, but it's a bit boring for an Edge cover. There usually seems to be a bit more thought put into it than that. Indeed, save for some of the 200 special edition covers, I can't remember an Edge cover wowing me for quite a while.

I really like the MGS4 cover from last year.

Good score for Chinatown Wars, and well deserved. Obviously with me being a massive GTA fanboy, I'd have liked to have seen it score a 10, but I can see why they might mark it down. The handling of the cars takes a little getting used to, and the music (normally a major selling point for the franchise) isn't great.

Yeah, they look more like generic gaming mags now rather than the more 'artistic' vibe they used to go for. I suppose they are trying to attract a wider audience.

Yeah, that's not bad. If I recall, there were a few decent ones around that time. That Nintendo one with the gold remote and the 'who dares wins' slogan was another. It's more the last four/five/six months, really.

Seems like Little King's Story is pretty good. It's out later this month, isn't it?

InFamous, DCU, China Town Wars, Mad World.

But there have been 4 or 5 pretty bad ones in the last 10 or so issues

Yes, April 24th - at least that's what Amazon say.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I think this is the last issue on my current subscription. I'm not sure whether I'll re-subscribe.

I see Edge and GamesTM disagree about Sonics quality though.

I thought that Wanted was supposed to be pretty good?.

Admittedly though, that is based purely on the opinions from Listen Up.

I quite like Wanted myself, to me it's more a 6 than it is a 4. So it's certainly nothing amazing but does just about what I would expect it to. Its major failing is its brevity and for that reason its not worth a full price purchase.
