I'm going tomorrow. Probably just going to loop around through the Halo 5 queue all day.

Decent day, mainly stayed away from the AAA stuff because it isn't exactly the most press-friendly show in the world, and strawberry float queuing.

If you head to the indie booth definitely try out Last Fight (think Gang Beasts but with a bit more structure), Black and White: Bushido (multiplayer shared-screen ninja game that makes good use of light and shadow) and Esper (a great game for getting to grips with VR, just be sure to use the Gear set-up rather than Oculus).

Elsewhere I tried PS VR and Vive. The Vive demo was out of this world cool - a series of short demos with me in a room alone. I could walk about and the interaction was fantastic. Morpheus was less showy, I only got to play Rebellion's tank game and was sat down with a controller, but it was still fun. Only other game of note I played was Ratchet and Clank, which plays as good as it looks.

If you're going to go to one of these things at least cos-play, dress up as Hatsune Miku or something.

When it comes to cries for attention in public places, cosplay is only a couple of notches below mass-shootings

I'm going along tomorrow. I'm sure I'll get to the indie booth at some point and will seek out those suggestions.

Was pretty good, I've seen and played a lot of the stuff so didn't bother queueing for anything. You should have seen the ass creed queue, madness.

The state of star fox Zero  :dread:

Assassins Creed queue was tiny, literally walked right in mid afternoon as the queue hadn't filled up all the empty spaces. The big queue round the back of Assassins Creed was for the Division, they only seemed to have about 10 systems for it, dread to think how long some people waited for that.

Highlight of the day was a hour session on Gang Beasts, such a perfect convention game.

Didn't see any swag bar what we were giving away on the rock band stage, which I didn't take as its for other people and I could get it anyway I think.

The vive rooms setup looked like it would be really cool, like the idea of walking around in a 1:1 space, would be incredible for immersion I bet.

May get a last minute ticket for sunday. Worth the effort to go from london or a pretty average affair? I wish sony would bring back the playstation experience at earls court. It was like my dream!

Or annoying when you bang your knee off invisible table and stand on your favourite pet.

Just got back. I live within a 30 minute drive of the NEC so it's no effort for me to get there.

It was pretty decent overall. I didn't bother playing any of the new games and was happy just to watch.

There was a nice retro area where I played Super Mario 64 and Super Mario World. I had a go on SSX Tricky in the '20 years of Playstation' section too.

How do you even know it's average if you've not even been? :fp:

I didn't play much because I was there to work, it's not a reflection on the event. If I wasn't researching various things I could have spent 3 days there playing things.

Note the use of the question mark after 'pretty average fair'. ;)

They were handing out Tornado energy drinks like leaflets yesterday. It's related to Just Cause 3.

Got given one of those the second we walked through the door. The lid thing was quite nifty.

Those energy drinks were awful. I had the "Ice" flavour, it tasted like medicine.

Had a good day though, played:
Halo 5
Tomb Raider
Need for Speed
Star Fox :dread:
Cuphead
Lego Dimensions
Rock Band

And a whole bunch of Indie games. Best ones were a game where you had to instigate a revolution by building up followers and then trashing city landmarks (Papers Please crossed with Pikmin) and a super difficult mobile game called Hopiko, which is a bit like a more frantic Super Meat Boy, which I've since bought.

I played a Kart Racing game on Oculus which was really fun, until I got hit by one of the AI players weapons and I nearly threw up.
