Anyone here going? I think I'm going next Thursday for the whole day, anyone going and fancy meeting up?

My first videogame show :toot:

I'd like to go for a play on PlayStation VR, but apparently it's behind closed doors with limited slots available.

Shame as it's a short trek from Stoke :(

Will be going on Thursday only, having to get the train from Euston early in the morning. :fp:

Come along anyway, you never know what you might get to do. Plus you can join me for 'lunch' in the van :datass:

If I am going, it's only the Thursday and I'm probably driving up as its roughly the same travel time as the train and I'd like to be able to leave as and when I fancy.

Exciting

Any idea how you'd go about getting your name on the list?

I'm sure they'll let me have a go, I'm kind of a big deal down at the cracker factory.

I was thinking of going on the Sunday, as there is a SFIV tournament, and I was hoping that would mean SFV would be playable, but there is no mention of it anywhere. So still not sure, it is sure to sell out before I decide, so that will solve that decision

SFV is playable at Sonys stand.

Just applied for a slot to try out the vive: http://www.htc.com/uk/egx/

Also details about trying Morpheus should be released later today.

Anyone know the camera policy at these sort of events? I want to take my SLR as I'm there on official research purposes and don't want to get stopped from trying things out because I'm carrying one.

You won't be able to photograph most screens, but generally you can take photos of the show

I'll be going on Thursday. Trying to schedule interviews is proving a massive ball ache

You arranged any VR tests? Won't this be the first time HTC Vive is demoed in the UK?

I have a demo with the Vive but it's not with HTC themselves. I also need to get my hands on PS VR to complete the trifecta

I wonder if I can pull any strings to get a closed doors demo. I think the best I'm realistically getting is an exhibitors ticket.

Skippy, I'll bring the best blanket for the van just for you

There are very few behind closed doors events, it's not the best place for press to get hands-on time as we have to queue with you plebs :x :shifty: ;)

Doesn't say how long the sessions are though, I'm not sure I want to drive there only to be kicked off after 10 minutes.

I'm not bothered about going there to play traditional games as I can already see what they'll be like from videos.

You get to spend time with me, that's worth the trip alone.
