might aswell make this a general topic.

So i got an email today from nationwide saying they want to send me emails in the future but of-course i don't want to be tricked so has anyone else who uses nationwide received an email from them today asking the same thing? it did include my postcode but i don't imagine that is hard to hard if you are a scammer.

if you look at the link in the e-mail, you'll probably see that it doesn't point to the nationwide.

I also don't think that Nationwide send emails. They only send messages to your online banking inbox i believe.

that's what i thought the wording of it seems a little strange and there is a link in it which doesn't look like an official nationwide address. is it worth sending an email nationwide to tell them about this?

I imagine halifax will have a phishing e-mail address that you can forward the suspect message onto.
