I know I'm going to regret saying this, but Birth Of A Nation is actually pretty good. Up until Lincoln gets assassinated, then it all flies downhill in a horrendous fashion. I was in disbelief when I saw it, the second half has almost no bearing on the first, and the first is pretty good.

The thematic content is still utterly reprehensible. I'm no racist or nuffink. :shifty:

I don't think anyone would be so base as to see your ability to intellectually filter Art from dangerous propoganda as that, mate.

I really liked Matrix Rev and Cabin Fever.

Also Transformers 2.

I'm surprised Starship Troopers 2 wasn't in there. Then again if you forget the scale of the first movie it isn't actually that bad.

The story goes that director Michael Cimino asked why no one was drinking champagne at his film's premiere, and was told, "Because they hate the movie, Michael." There are five uninterrupted minutes of fiddle playing - on roller skates - and Jeff Bridges throwing up, also on roller skates. But it's a Western - go figure.

There's also a bit where a horse blows up.

Alas, there's no artistic racism in it.
