Course he is one of ours, we had him for 3 years, you don't keep many players that long at our level. Was surprised at how chuffed I was for him when he scored. Great player he totally deserves it.

I agree that the Liverpool born Southampton striker Ricky Lambert who first played for Blackpool, Macclesfield, Stockport and Rochdale is Bristol Rovers to his core.

;)

Glad we won but England were poor (as usual) and Scotland played really well in the first half. GG.

That's a great win for Northern Ireland too, gives them a glimmer of hope of qualifying for the World Cup.

I'm amazed the FA, SFA and Welsh FA haven't done this yet but have continued bitching about it. It would be their best chances of regular silverware.

Crowd trouble is no longer an issue, there has been a generational change since the bad old days.

Calm down, no need to get abusive.

Lambeth seems like a nice guy, you can see he is genuinely buzzing playing for England too.

Another great night in Belfast :D

It does give us a chance but I'm usually happy that the players give it their all. Hopefully we make it sometime in my life time.

The Wales v Scotland WCQs were pretty good. The Wales/England Euro qualifiers a couple of years ago was at least bearable, from what I remember. There's bound to be bad games here and there, but more genuinely competitive football seems like a good thing for all parties.

It was a good game although I thought we deserved a draw overall, considering our first half performance. As a Scotland fan I thought it was encouraging to see us playing more attack-minded stuff but Whittaker is never a full-back, especially not on the left! I also wouldn't put any money on England winning in Brazil :shifty:
