Janeway also got a cameo in Nemesis.

Did any DS9 characters get cameos in any of the movies?

Depends how you want to count Worf I guess. None of the original characters did I’m pretty sure.

Nah, Worf was a TNG character cameoing in DS9.

I guess this proves that Voyager is better than DS9. :toot:

Might be quicker to just link to his IMDb.

Twisted - A fun little low budget episode. Was a shame Neelix came back.

Parturition - I just don't like Neelix particularly at this point. Meh.

Persistence of Vision - Decent enough. I do like "everyone sees weird gooseberry fool" episodes.

Tattoo - More Chakotay nonsense. It's a shame really. The doctor having the flu was much more entertaining.

Cold Fire

Wow, the psychic power to see plants in a slightly different colour. ;)

Enjoyed this one! The whole psychic powers thing wasn't done as badly as I feared at first. And it got downright creepy near the end, almost veering into a horror movie.

I get the feeling we'll be seeing Suspiria again.

Maneuvers

I totally forgot about the Cardassian woman!

The main Kazon bloke gave me Gul Dukat vibes. I knew it wasn't the same actor, but still looked it up just to be sure.

Is this the Trek episode with the most technobabble? Every other word seemed to be about remodulating something, interfacing with a thingy, phase variances or altering a dampening field.

A fun episode and quite the bombshell at the end.

Resistance

That was great! A proper emotional story wrapped up in a prison rescue to escape space Nazis.

Some fantastic performances as well. The main crew were excellent but also from Caylem - looking him up, the actor was an Oscar and Tony winner, on this performance I am confident those awards were justified.

Prototype

I misread the Netflix description as "Voyager finds an animated life-form adrift in space" and thought we were in for a very weird episode!

I was worried at the start that the whole episode was going to be from the robots points of view. POV is ok in porn or Peep Show, not so much in a Trek episode. ;)

For the most part, TNG, DS9 and Voyager have decent special effects and amazing make up and prosthetics, but even TOS would be ashamed of how bad the robots here look.

Aww Torres mentioned Data

This was a strange mix of good and gooseberry fool. Some of the dialogue was atrocious ("my god, what have I done!") and the overall story of the robots was desperately unimaginative. But there was some nice action and it held my attention all the way through.

Alliances

Voyager really likes a cold opening doesn't it. No build up, just BANG here's some action!

A mention of Spock. That's quite a few mentions now of characters from other series. I don't remember TNG or DS9 name dropping like that.

Seska is such a twat, the Kazon really need to wake up to what a manipulator she is.

If Voyager is speeding towards home, why do they keep coming across the same people? Cullah always seems to be so close to them, either he's following them, or Voyager is just flying around in circles.

Overall this was decent, but I had to suspend disbelief a few times. I can't see why Janeway would even consider an alliance with Cullah/Seska after all that's gone on. And she was way too trusting, way too quickly, of the Trabe.

Threshold

"I lost my virginity in that room"
"I'll note it in your medical file"
The doctor really is the MVP of this show.

And talking of the Doctor, I laughed when they discovered the second heart.

Ok good bits out of the way, now to talk about the rest of it.

What the strawberry float was that? I have seen a picture of it (you can guess what the image was  )before on here, but I had no idea of the madness of the episode that the image came from. It made the Genesis episode of TNG look sane.

So batshit crazy and so obviously gooseberry fool, that I really enjoyed it. I'm not even going to bother trying to work out what went on or point out the stuff that made no sense, it's perfect as a bit of utter madness.

Meld

Wormtongue! Dourif is soooo good at playing a creepy evil banana split.

This must have been fun for Russ, being a Vulcan must be quite limiting for an actor!

I'm not sure what Spock would have thought about a mind meld going so badly wrong, but a murderous Tuvok was great. Him and Wormtongue were fantastic, I hope we get to see Dourif again.

Dreadnought

I love that the whole of the Delta quadrant have already heard of Voyager and think they are banana splits.

Loved this episode. I'm not sure it made a great deal of sense the missile believing everything but the truth but it didn't matter. It was tense and exciting.

I was wondering what you'd have to say about Threshold.

It's regarded as one of the worst episodes of Star Trek.

But like you I can enjoy it a little in a "What the strawberry float were they thinking?" kind of way.

On paper it's probably the worst thing ever written in all of human history.

But that makes it great.

Threshold has an amazing(ly bad) reputation, but I will stand by my rule that stupid is better than dull.

Nobody who's seen Threshold will ever forget it! It has achieved a kind of immortality.

Exactly.

A whole show like Threshold would be awfu. But as a one off piece of madness, it was magnificent.

There's a whole episode later of Chakotay hallucinating a strawberry floating boxing match, and oh boy you're gonna miss those salamanders.

Death Wish

Oooo the Netflix description says there's a Q in this episode. We haven't seen any Q characters since the start of DS9, I hope it's a strawberry floating crazy one like the Q we all loved in TNG.

Q's sexism

A fantastic episode! I love Q anyway, but Quinn was also wonderful. It was funny and at the same time raised some fascinating moral and philosophical questions on mortality and the rights of the individual.

The obvious solution would have been to get Q to agree to allow Quinn to be mortal - we know the continuum allow that. But that Quinn had to agree to not commit suicide. For an immortal being, the idea of living another 30-40 years wouldn't sound very long. I get he wanted to shake up his society, but Q entities choosing to become mortal and dying as mortals should surely be enough to upend their lives.

I'm glad the Q continuum are used sparingly as I don't want them to get boring, but at the same time I'd watch a whole series of the adventures of Q.

Lifesigns

Shout out to Bones! Voyager really does love referencing the other Trek series.

The doctor and Pel talking about avoiding groups for public health reasons, I half expected that twat Neil Oliver to show up screaming about freedom. ;)

A so-so story. I'm not very interested in the romances on Trek and I'm worried they are going to change the grumpy arrogant prick of a doctor into somebody that is caring. No! I like the sarcastic bellend!

Chakotay went down way too easily. It was like a really crap Premier League dive. Paris is a twat though, so strawberry float him. ;)

Investigations

I hope this dreadful "Briefing with Neelix" TV show gimmick doesn't become a thing. :dread:

Decent episode, but I can't work out why Jonas was working with the Kazon. What did he hope to get out of it? To go and live with a bunch of proto-Klingons who have shitter lives than the one he was already living?

Seriously, I hope they don't ever do the Neelix TV show again. I've just been PMing with Cheeky Devlin and said I didn't mind Neelix (CD wants to chuck him out of an airlock), I hate to be proven wrong. ;)

Deadlock

strawberry floating hell, what a brutal opening 15 minutes.

Absolutely loved this episode. Some great pseudoscience, great action and really brutal in places.

Those Vidians need to strawberry float off though, nasty creepy bastards!

Janeway saying "welcome to the bridge" was perfectly done. Boom!

Deadlock is such a great episode

A great sci-fi concept that's well explored. There's so much packed into it as well, a real breakneck pace!

I forgot this and had to read synopsis

Forgot that Harry died and for the rest of the series is actually a duplicate. No wonder he was never promoted!
