There is a bar in London that is solely for Italian craft beer. Can't remember where though. I think to the west.

I'll give it a Google. Not sure I would find it if I just went to west London :P

Got some of this after your recommendation earlier in the thread, Errkal.

Not had it yet though, but if it's as good as their Spaceman it will be very tasty.

Haha it really isn't. The dublin porter sucks too. The other one that I can't remember the name of though isn't bad. Not foreign extra but not bad

The only Guinness worth drinking is Guinness Original - AKA nectar of the gods. Everything else is revolting.

Guinness with a tia maria is the drink to end a good night out. Other wise Guinness is pretty bland what ever version you have.

I didn't mind the Dublin Porter. Certainly prefer it to original Guinness which I find rather gross.

Had some Baladin - Rock 'n' Roll. 7.5%

Image

Rather tasty. Pretty strong at 7.5% but most Italian beers are quite strong. A pleasing orange colour with a nice white head that lasted a fair while. Spicy, fruity and peppery.

That sounds nice, it sounds like they use a Belgian yeast if there is a long lasting head and pepperiness usually that comes from there.

Only thing I could see mentioned about the origin of flavours was that it uses American hops for it.

"Water, barley malt, mainly American hops, yeast and pepper for an unmistakably Rock ‘n’ Roll character. A beer whose freshness and the skillful use of pepper blend with the aromas and bitterness of hops in a “musical” crescendo"

Most beers/ales/craft brews etc use American hops these are the fuggle variety and although grown all over the world they are generally based on the US fuggle.
