Got tickets to the Great British Beer Festival in August. Just had a look at the Brewerys there and only know 1 of them.

Part of the fun though is trying new ones, for better, for worse.

Done this a couple of times it's a good laugh but both times after around 4 hours was enough.
And they do have a huge selection of beers.

Poured a can of Stone Brewery IPA and managed to pour all the yeast in the glass. Still tastes alright but definitely looks less appealing

Yeast is fine it won't do you any harm. For styles like wheat beers it is essential to the flavour, you pour it out swill the last bit around then wonk that in too.

Yeah I know but it looks like a pretty bad back wash.

Hahaha yeah it looks mank but you would get considerably fewer decent pints sent back in pubs if people were more OK with it.
I guess as beers become unfined and styles like new England IPA become more prevelant it will become normal to have a cloudier pint.

Does cloudy mean it has bits in? I always assumed is was to do with the clarity. As you say it tastes fine so it doesn't bother me.

Naa if there are bit you see little lumps floating, cloudy is usually yeast they use finings and filtering to pull that out but the finings make it not vegan/veggie and filtering strips hop oils and some flavor. There ar either ways brew dog cebtrifuge to pull it the haze but it's become more of a thing to just leave it as it doesn't matter. People are just used to or we're used to seeing super clear beer.

How do you lot order different beers? I've tried picking a few cans at Honest Brew but it looks like a very expensive way of doing it. Is there a more cost efficient way like sample boxes or buy X amount get 25% off type deals?

"proper" beer sadly does cost more, the best bet is find somewhere with a flat delivery cost or low delivery cost and making sure you fill the box as it makes it better value. You can also find local bottle shops and things as then you dont have to worry about delivery however they tend to have a larger "per bottle" cost.

The BrewDog equity for punks thing has been a big help to me, there shop is very good and if you buy i you get a discount online so that brings the price back, I bought in a few years back at £99 and I've had way more than that in discounts and those shares (you can sell once a year if you want in a share sell platform thing) are now work about 6 times that.

Generally it just costs a fair bit of money to have constantly new and exciting stuff, craft beer and that is sort of a hobby more than just a beer.

I've just had a look (I recently moved) and found a little beer shop near me that stocks everything I've seen on Honest Brew so I'll just pop in and have a look.
