Going to make a bit more effort to make he most of the craft beers/breweries as I'm in London. I've been to most of the pubs mentioned on the last pages (Harp, Euston Tap, Craft Beer Co, Brewdog) but my problem is I don't always remember what I have. Not even a case of being too drunk to remember (oi oi) but just which drink came from what brewery and the taste etc.

I work in Kentish Town so will pop into the new(ish) Clapton Trap and buy some bottles and I'll go and see the Camden Brewery soon. I now there is some negativity towards the Camden Brewery (selling out etc) but as it's so close I may as well check it out.

Get an app called untappd its it like a beer and cider social network and you get badges for trying stuff so it encourages you try new stuff but if you get into a habit of it you end up with a record of your drinks which is really handy.

It's fun the sense of achievement when you get a badge is quite sad.

Would people be up for a beer swap event? I was thinking it could be a regular thing maybe every 6 months or so where like secret santa people are randomly paired and buy a couple of beers (I was thinking 3) for their beer buddy.

But alas, my tastebuds protest.

What about it don't you like?

Hard to explain really but in simple terms it's just the flavour. I can drink larger as in the drink larger as a shandy, but to drink it by itself is a no-no for me. Same with ales and bitters etc.

In all my years of trying (and to be fair I haven't given up hope that one day I'll crack it!) I've only had 2 beers that I've been able to stomach - Samuel Adams and a Badger ale that was really fruity, can't remember it's name though.

I can't remember if I have had that or not. I too very much enjoy a Black IPA though.

Apparently there is a natural wine shop in Roma that sells The Kernel. So I'm gonna pop there this week hopefully and have a browse. Hopefully the prices aren't too ridiculous.

GRcade Beer/Cider Club

We game together lets have a drinking together (ish).

The club will run much like Secret Santa, everyone who signs up will be randomly paired with someone they are your Drinking Buddy, you will then buy them some beer/cider, you can buy as much as you want but there is a 2 drink minimum. The beers can be anything you want, local international something you found and loved anything.

Once you receive your beers there will be a "drink day" the idea is that everyone should if possible wait until this day so hopefully everyone wil have their beers/cider by then at this point everyone can crack them open and post in the thread your thoughts on the beers you received. After that I'll reveal who had who.

Sign-ups for this closes on April 10th, I'll then assign buddies, and Drink Day will be 29th May giving plenty of time to get beers/ciders bought and sent.

If there is anyone you don't want to buy for for what ever reason that has signed up let me know before the signups close and I wont match you with them, if you aren't a beer fan and would rather cider post that in the thread and I'll include it on the list of people and let your buddy know.

Yay! I was wondering when the Beer Swap was going to happen! Meant to PM you about it the other day.

Count me in! Do you think the buying limit should be a money amount rather than a drink amount?
Could save someone getting two 275ml bottles in exchange for two 600mls.

Updated the beer club amount so it is a minimum spend of £6 so with postage it would be a maximum of £10 of you bought 6 quid worth of beers.

I need to try more cider, when I have had it I like it but don't know much about style and tastes.

Had some awesome fruit ciders in a micro pub in Dover.
