Was in Split, Croatia a couple of weeks back. Sampled a couple of local beers from microbreweries.

First was LAB Barba Pale Ale

A decent pale ale, although it was nicer bottled. The draught was a bit too fizzy.

The other was Zmajska Pivovara Pale Ale. A very tasty Pale Ale. Very drinkable.

Just had one these...

A chestnut ale with toasty notes. Pleasant, although the chestnut wasn't as pronounced as I would have hoped. A good smokiness though.

Sounds expensive.

O'Briens were running a 6 for 5 offer on craft beer so I've stocked up for the Christmas period. Might get a few bottles of Crabbies ginger beer as well but judging by the amount of places stocking it I might be one of the only people in Galway that ever buys the stuff.

Expensive ? Thats really good especially with free delivery. I ended up getting an extra 15% as I am a share holder so it worked out at 83p a bottle.

83p for a bottle of toilet water and ratguts seems hella expensive.

Recipe for Holiday Sloe Gin Fizz:

In an old fashioned tumbler, mix 1tsp sugar with 50ml sloe gin and the juice from ½ of a lemon until sugar is fully dissolved.
Top with soda water and garnish with a fresh cranberry and orange peel (or a twist of lemon).

Woman at work given little jam jars as this out as present/treat.

Dear god it smells good. At the bit I spilled on my hand and licked was amazing. (It's 10am. Shut up)

The Brexit effect actually means 83p is a good deal for toilet water by itself, the ratguts are just an added bonus.

I've suddenly got into rum, picking up a bottle of Kraken to have over Christmas with ginger beer; which has even more suddenly become by favourite drink.

Any other decent dark rums about aside from the likes of Captain Morgan?

I bought some Aspall Cider to drink over the Christmas period. Not bad, 3 for £5. Usually £2 each.

Whilst I normally avoid beer I have this evening enjoyed a couple of bottles of Desperados "Verde", which is the tequila-flavoured beer but with mint and lime, it's like drinking a mojito but in a beer :datass:
