Et tu Pâté?

Anyone else just love pâté?
I didn't get a chance to have lunch today so was feeling a bit peckish when I got home and thought I'd have a slice of toast with something on to tide me over until a proper meal... 5 slices of toast & pâté later and I'm not sure I'll have room for a real meal now!
So, anyone else a bit of a pâté animal or is it just me?
P.S. and yes I did partly just make this thread because I liked the sound of the title!
EDIT: Added a poll!

Love it not even anything posh, just Standard supermarket pate makes me happy
Definitely Brussels > Ardennes.
But Duck liver and orange too.. oh my gawd.
It sound a bit povvo, but Jacobs cream cracker, smothered in Brussels, with red onion jam, dunked into a melted camembert.
Oh man. I need to go get a camembert..

I'm indifferent to pâté but I appreciate the effort you've gone to with the accents.

Yes! Posh stuff is great too, but sometimes Supermarket Brussels is exactly what you need!

Drool.com
I do enjoy some Ardennes but would agree that the Brussels is superior.

That's some top tier snacking right there. Nothing wrong with a cream cracker!

Aldi do a lovely Brussels & Garlic pâté for 40-something pence. Goes amazingly on a nice crusty piece of toast.

Eh? What's "povvo" about Brussels pâté with red onion jam and melted Camembert? If anything I think that snack sounds quite stereotypically middle-class.

I think I prefer the coarseness of an Ardennes compared to a Brussels but both are lovely.

I absolutely love pate. Duck and orange at Christmas being a particular favourite. I generally favour the cheaper stuff as I prefer it a bit smoother and the expensive stuff tends to have massive chunks of fat in.
I recently got to try some foie gras in a French restaurant, it had some blackcurrant sorbet on the side with some miniature toast, absolutely godly stuff

How are people melting their camembert? For me it's just poked with a bit of garlic and rosemary and shoved in the oven, but I feel there could be something more adventurous I could do with it!

Love the stuff, especially the coarse stuff, not as much of a fan of the smooth ones.

Salmon and Sardine pates are both great but I can't stand the meat based varieties, looks and smells too much like dog food for my liking.

It's an organ meat, so that's pretty much a no for me, then you have the pretty horrible treatment that the animals undergo for it to be made, so a double no. Blech.

Yes, I like pate.
Particularly fond of liver pate from morrisons.
