Eternal were a British R&B girl group formed in 1992 with the line-up consisting of sisters Easther and Vernie Bennett, Kéllé Bryan and Louise Nurding. The group became an international success, selling around 10 million records worldwide.
Up until recently this was the only Eternal I was familiar with.
Eternal is CCG like Hearthstone and Elder Scrolls legends although for me it feels more like magic the gathering. Hers the steam blurb:
Six-guns and sorcery collide in Eternal, the new strategy card game of unlimited choices and unbelievable fun. Eternal brings AAA pace and polish to the infinite possibilities of a deep strategy card game. The only limits are your own creativity.
I have been playing for about a week now and it has utterly engrossed me. I was a big Hearthstone fan on release but the amount of time to get get decent cards or amount of money to spend eventually broke me and I quit not long after the Naxx exapansion.
Eternal gets the balance of being a free game and a game you may want to sink a few quid in to perfectly IMO. The amount of ways to earn and amount of freebies mean there is never really a need to spend. Plus it has solo game modes against AI which range from free to a few thousand in game gold which again is easily obtained.
It does look very HS and the art style has grown on me. The strategy runs a lot deeper in this than HS with much less RNG.
Anyone else play? Or anyone else have any views on digital CCGs they care to discuss?
