Does it help if I tell you that Jemini getting 0 points was 21 years ago?

Flying the flag at half mast.

At our age, we're lucky to get it to half mast.

I realise this is probably a joke, but I was responding to the "Flying the flag" joke Qikz made.

Apologies for the confusion.

I know Jemini got 0 points. Qikz made a joke regarding "Flying the flag" for them, but it was Scooch who did that song.

Please carry on.

To put that into context, it was 18 years between the releases of Dark Side of the Moon and Nevermind.

Said it in the Footy Whatsapp group already but the UK entry is strawberry floating atrocious and yes, I do think the mental Irish one is better.

Did anyone see the tuesday night semi final? I did and there was some truly awful acts taking part. The Irish entry in particular was garbage and i can't believe it made it through to the final.

Despite that though, there were a couple of catchy numbers including the Croatian and Ukranian entries, while Finland continues to be batshit insane!

Also, why do they always overdo it with the strobe lights at eurovision? It's possible to have a good show without that gooseberry fool during every performance.

Irish entry is 8/1 to win it.

UK one is 90/1

UK song is an abomination, it's so pedestrian, repetitive and lazy. UK phoned it in this year, after the fantastic Spaceman entry it's an awful return to dreadful form for the UK.

The Croatia song is terrible imo. Moldova and Poland should have made it.

The Italian song is a banger though, reckon that has a chance.

Yeah if you're going to be awful, you might as well be awful and quirky at the same time. It'll automatically get you a load of points regardless.

I've not heard the Ireland entry. But I'm willing to bet it's nowhere near as bad as Vermi is making out. ;)

Polish entry was my favourite. So naturally they didn't go through.

Also liked Australia. Didn't go through either.

Agreed, both were decent enough and deserved to go through.
