It must have been incredible to have been at one of those gigs and heard it live... what an experience.

To round off the night, it feels like time for a whiter shade of pale.

I've been learning Johnny Marr's guitar work on various songs from this band. He's strawberry floating stellar.

I'm addicted to it at the moment. I get a sense that when those guys were on stage playing that, it was the ultimate moment in their lives... just perfect, just so cool. That crowd, that music... sensational.

...and after that wee bit of introspection, let's rock again. Hard.

Most unexpectedly good cover version ever.

Hyperbole aside, its a great cover of one of my favourite Soundgarden songs.

Don't have any links but have been getting into Arcade Fire's latest - it hasn't grown on me and actually I think it's pretty easily their worst album so far.

To be fair, they've had 3/5 stunning albums so there's no shame in it.

Broken Dream... that's a great track, floyd - thanks for the heads-up, man.

I haven't listened to a lot of Rod Stewart's stuff but I do like some of the Faces music - Stay With Me is excellent:
