Is this basically the same thing as Ethan Carter?

All done.

Started getting choked up at the end of Lizzie and Stephen's tales. Outstanding.

How long is this? This may sound like a stupid question, but do paths open up which can lead to you missing things?

You can definitely miss things I think, not that I've finished it. It seems the game is broken up into chapters but it appeared to me as if you could move on from chapters without seeing the proper ending.

Well, I did a lot of poking around and it took me about 6 or 7 hours. You can miss everything, actually (there's a trophy for going straight to the ending while ignoring the rest of the story), but you can always take the shortcuts between the areas to go back if you missed something.Even with all my searching, I still missed a few bits of dialogue.

Finished this earlier. Fell pretty flat in the end IMO, pretty as it is it really needed some puzzles or decent interactivity beyond the odd light switch and a train set.

I bought this and have it downloaded. Going to start it up once Wolfenstein is finished.

Getting pretty frustrated with this. When does the game save? Yesterday I noticed the save icon a few times when I first started but when I played today it clearly hadn't saved for quite a while so I had to walk round again. Tonight I played for around an hour with no save icon so I guess next time I play I will boringly need to retrace today's steps. Also, ridiculously I seem to be stuck. I've got to the windmill but can't find where to go next, seems to be only the station or holiday camp routes but I've already visited those. Where are you supposed to go after the station/windmill?

It saves all the time doesn't it? After every time you trigger dialogue at least.

After the Windmill you go to the holiday camp, if you're triggering the final 'cut scene' in each chapter then you should be led directly to the next one.
