Everything marked as unread for anyone else?

Did every single thread just get marked as unread for anyone else? Or just me?

Also the little "you have posted in this thread" mark on a bunch of threads where I've posted have suddenly vanished, but only some rather than others.

OK this is weird. That was me.

I refreshed the front page of the forum and somehow I was logged in as KingK?!
I logged out and back in as soon as I saw the post I'd made came from a different account and seem to be back as myself.

Huh, so I did mark everything read for Off Topic and GGC as I occasionally do but surely that shouldn't affect anyone else! :lol:

Session IDs are supposedly bound to user IP but if both clash I guess this could happen? Maybe Laga was refreshing a page with an expired SID in the url (this is fallback session management for when cookies are disabled but when you first log in you will have this in the url regardless), and that then clashed with KingK's SID for an active session?

Using mod powers I can see that the OP from KingK is from Laga's IP, but KingK's IP in subsequent posts is different, so I don't really know what's going on.

Maybe somebody hacked the security system and tinkered with its programming.

This is pretty funny. I'll try to get around to clearing the session ID table this morning, which will log everyone out and hopefully fix whatever is happening.
