“Get your friends together and grab your Wii Wheel (TM) accessories for action-packed raucous racing. ExciteBots: Trick Racing takes the big-air thrills and simple controls of Excite Truck (TM) and ramps up the fun with a non-stop barrage of funky challenges and mini-games performed at blinding speed. You won’t believe your eyes when you find yourself shooting goals, throwing pies and even playing poker in the middle of racing robotic animals and insects around off-road tracks. “

Sounds a bit like Nuts and Bolts, where's Excitetruck 2?

That yellow car looks a bit like a 2020 version of Brum.

Man, that F-Zero speculation is looking pretty silly right now.

I'm sure Mario Kart's continuing success has much to do with the change in direction.

The graphics are acually pretty decent in those screens. Could be a fun game for the family.

That cover art makes me think that a handheld Moai Kun remake would be nice.
Or how about a VC release for the next Hanabi festival?

Reading the preview, it seems that the gameplay is largely the same as Excitetruck. I'm now looking forward to this!

I found Excite Truck to be a preposterously good laugh. From first impressions it looks like they're throwing any notion of cool to the wind and going screaming down Route Fun with this. Could be wonderful.

I loved Excite Truck so colour me, well, excited.

It looks like a bit of a departure, but the interview definitely makes it sound like the much-loved elements are all returning and i'm confident this'll be just as good as the original.

Now, if only I could sort myself out with a job and money by release, i'll be laughing!

First trailer up on IGN:

WATCH THE MADNESS

It seems to be the racing from Excitetruck mixed with minigames/challenges which you play during the race which is an intersting concept, but I hope it doesn't take too much away from the racing itself.

It also seems that they've kept the star point system from Excitetruck, so I imagine you collect the stars during the race by doing stunts and various challenges during the race, and the person with the highest amount of points at the end wins.

From the video it looks kind of a laugh.
