Follow him until he gets off his bike.

Oh balls. All those retries trying to shoot him off. Thanks. Saved me alot of trouble.

Yeah, a rather silly bit of game design in that mission. GTA should be about emergent sandbox chaos rather than scripted "you can't kill him until we say so" stuff.

I think you actually can kill him before you get to the ambush, it's just very difficult.

I think I'm gonna have to end up buying this even though I'm not really that into the missions of GTA all that much. Seeing Run to the Hills on the soundtrack is certainly helping convince me.

I love this DLC which is odd because I can't STAND the music in the club, its horid, so much so that ive put the music off! Still like Jonny but not near as much as I liked Niko who upstages him in that mission that you both do!

I hate the president of the club but I can tell already that he's gonna die via the hands of Jonny.

Yeah Protek it's real hardcore grindcore, it's pretty gooseberry fool!

The only real turn off for anyone neysaying about this, is that if you found GTA 4 pretty hard, then this is no easier!

lulwut? I'm not great gamer or such, but I found that GTA IV is one of easiest games I've played. First GTA I've completed and all that.

Anyway I really should get GTAIV again....just for this.

I found most of it pretty easy, but there were some tricky missions where you were just outnumbered and found yourself just scraping through with no health.

True, there's been moments where I'm pretty lucky & later on be able to buy rocket launcher did make it alot easier for myself too. Without rocket launcher I'd probably struggle more, good ol' rocket laucher. 8-)
Shame you only can hold about 5-8 rockets, that and they cost $10000 per rocket or something...

There's a two-page editorial ad spread in the new FHM (April 2009) for GTA:LAD. Even tells you how to download it.

Yeah, the thrash metal sucks, how people can listen to this **** is beyond me. Its also annoying that every time you get on L&D bike its radio is always tuned to some **** rock / metal station.

The warning is pretty damn big (bigger than most small print on game ads) so surely people won't be buying it and claiming they didn't know it was download only.

I bet it could be unlikely but i'd love for Rockstar to make a couple more of these episodes beyond the final exclusive one. Mcreary's featuring a Gerald jailbreak - perfect time would be when the Lost blew a hole through the Prison door

That would be amazing, and in all fairness really clever, A dlc, that links between the origanal and the previous dlc!

Did the bus/jailbreak mission today. Starts off great with a bit of 'lateral thinking' on my part...

Steal a police car & you can drive straight in no problems. As I get out of the car, the police start shooting at me. I quickly rush to the doors of the bus & a cutscene kicks in & they all magically stop. Upon its conclusion, I'm in control of the bus & they've all started shooting at me again. It felt cheap as hell.

I can't believe they've got a £9 Strategy Guide out for this, btw. Madness.

The guide is almost as much as the game!

That mission was pretty kick ass KKlien, I did it differently though, I got close to the police station, jumped out of the car, and got my machine gun pistol out, and just took out everything that moved, and as soon as I got to the van I took out the parked cars with my Grenade Launcher. The chase took a few attempts due to trying to lose the police in a slow truck was not fun! Eventually by luck I managed to get round a corner quickly and get in the pay and spray.

When you've got to chase the gay gang members, did anyone else have the AI go totally bananas? I had to replay it 3 times (poorly signposted mission, this) & every single time I had a bus mount a car on the bridge & the framerate drop completely.

I'd like video evidence with benny hill music playing.

I'm up to the bits in GTAIV where I just met Johnny and done the mission after that for Playboy. The gun combat in this is suprisingly fun and it has a good cover system suprisingly enough. I loved the mission where you get betrayed and Jabob helps you out in the factory. Great stuff.

C&VG wrote:GTA IV's debut downloadable content episode, The Lost and Damned, has eclipsed all previous downloadable content on Xbox Live to break the service's first-day revenue record, Microsoft has revealed. We're not surprised, are you?

Combined with a week's free online play on GTA, Lost and Damned managed to generate a bigger increase in active users the week before launch than any previous downloadable content, said MS.

"The success of Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned redefines what consumers expect from Game Add-ons," said Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox LIVE. "Content like this is extending the lives of our favorite games and fundamentally changing the way we play."

No numbers, though.
