I will try them ASAP. I briefly switched to witch doctor when my team was left without a healer. But it feels like a team definitely needs a tank too, so I reluctantly take that role because nobody else does. It’s still fun, but I want to vary it. Hopefully people are just sticking to assault because it’s their first few games.

Level 50 now with 46 games players I think. I'm still seeing new things every other game, including story mission and new dinosaurs.

Progression feels great, as I'm levelling up every game and always getting more coins to spend on upgrades to the characters, or new upgrades. It's been very easy to get multiple classes upgraded to the max as they're quite generous with the coins,and the white upgrade modules can be used across classes so you get a bit of a jump start with new guys before you unlock their specific upgrades.

I usually like to put about 20 hours into games like this and move on once it feels stale. This still doesn't feel stale which is very cool. A lot of content locked behind that one gameplay option. I suppose it's quite meta with the game being about an AI randomly choosing your fate against dinosaurs, too.

It's great to read that you two guys are enjoying the action. I'd really like to try it but, at fifty wraps on PlayStation, it feels like an expensive gamble. I'm in two minds but, right now, I'm thinking that I'll hold fire and first see what alternative game deals crop up in the PlayStation Store sale on Wednesday.

Level 50 already AA?! I’m only six matches in, but I can already see the variation you mentioned. Good stuff.

I've had a weekend at the in-laws where I can be semi present in front of the TV while playing this on a laptop (xcloud!). And I double checked: level 50 with 46 matches played, so thats a level per game. I was also given 30,000 currency for turning level 50 which is a very nice reward (3 full module upgrades and some change).

Cool final mission that brings together everything you've learned thus far. Would have maybe liked a sliiiightly more iconic dinosaur fight at the end, but still pretty cool.

Final mission would have been even cooler if I wasn't forced to play it three times in a row haha. Failed it the first time and think the third time I was maybe brought back in to help some people who had just got to it too. Also you can't skip any cutscenes during missions so you have to sit through 5 minutes at the start and probably 5 minutes throughout the mission too.

Anywho, at the end it says I qualified for the super hard missions!*

The way they described this mode almost makes them sound like Destiny-esque raids. I wonder if the post game stuff will eventually be where the real action is.

Anywho, at level 60 I think I'm done playing this by myself, but am totally down to play with anyone who fancies a game, and looking forward to the hard missions. Got the 2 basic support characters to level 20 each, and got the two tanks to around level 15 each too. I've mentioned this before but the progression feels great. Averaging a level per match by level 50, there's always something new to equip to your mech or a new dinosaur/game mode to see.

I commend the game for doing something a bit different, it definitely kept me coming back far more than I expected. I will say I sort of wish it had a narrative mode as some of the cinematic moments in the multiplayer could have been really cool in a campaign, and also I had no idea what the story was because I kept skipping the cutscenes between matches because I wanted to get back to playing with my friends.

From 28th July, "veteran" players will be able to team up and take on Savage Gauntlet, which is a separate mode from Dino Survival. Described as a "pure PvE mode", it will put teams to the test "in special rotating weekly missions" once you've completed the story campaign.

Then three updates, starting in August:
Title Update 1 is set to release on 16th August, complete with 10 new Alpha Variant exosuits, "one for each current suit".

A second, undated Title Update will feature a new map, new rigs, modules, and a new final mission.

A third will include beta variant exosuits and Neo Triceratops.

Happened about level 50 for me, which I think you can expect to hit at around 50 games played. Also down for normal games too!

I like watching James Stephanie Sterlng's vids; I don't always agree with them but they do a good job highlighting the bad aspects of the games industry, especially when so many gaming media outlets turn a blind eye to them.

I'll watch this later. I'd very much like to give Exoprimal a go, but I won't be buying it for a while.

Well gave this a go tonight.

Maybe it's as I've not played a game on PC like this for a while with face near monitor but it looks fantastic.

It plays ridiculous well as well. Each suit is a joy to control. Initial missions were simple and barebones but already seen more variety and density.

I actually even like how it's trying to tell a story despite it's gameplay modes.

Think I like the Skywave suit most of all

Earlier today, a small patch went live for Exoprimal on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One platforms. This addressed a bug that caused an increase in data usage under certain conditions.

The module that reloads your gun every time you hit the fly button is awesome, upgraded to the max (costs 10,000 total) it doesn't have any negative side effects.

Also the locked Support character is really good too, she can dish out a chunk of damage as well as heal.

For the record I am at level 60 with something like 50,000 coins. Every time I level up I get 1000 more and another loot crate. It feels quite generous.
