So you were as slow to the PS1 as you were to the PS4, then?

I had a Saturn initially.

I don't think of any of the console games that fondly. F1 97 was probably the best, F1WGP on the N64 had an appalling framerate and the handling was completely borked (double tap A to accelerate flat out).

For me it is all about the original Grand Prix. Even console games now leave out most of the features that were in that game. The CM games have only recently added mid-race saves for example, and I bet they will remove that from F1 2015.

Incidentally, I found in the CM games that if you tried running a 100% distance race, it revealed a ton of flaws, either bugs or just plain bad design.

Fuxake, why bother putting the resolutions in the thread title? It's a bit of a troll move, mate.

Last thing this forum needs, TBH.

Looks nothing special. Stick with project cars and maybe wait for the price to drop. Someone tell them it's next generation.

Graphically I agree, the water at Monaco looks hideous.

I looks alright, it looks rushed though. They should really do it every other year and actually spend some time cleaning it all up etc. they may then get some actual progression between releases rather than them all being basically the same.

Still meh. Why have they shown that view..... The steering wheel and hands graphics are comical. Slight inputs to the steering shouldn't have that effect.

With driveclub and project cars I don't see any reason to buy this.

Why would you show that at this stage, it looks terrible :fp:

Also classic pad pleb demo where steering is click clack on off tap tap.

I bought F1 2013 because it was touting classic car stuff, however that wasn't quite enough. Plus I've found that other games have lots of open wheel racing with way more tracks than the F1 calendar. Stock Car Extreme has 6 ficticious open wheel classes covering the last 40 years of F1 and lots of unusual Brazilian tracks + mods. Assetto Corsa has classic F1 cars and stuff like the Lotus Exos 125, as well as several F1 mods covering both modern and 2000s era. PCARS has a similar range of open wheel classes and diverse tracks. I like watching F1, but not enough to play a game that excludes everything else. I might give it a go when it drops in price (although you can get it for £18 for PC on Nuuvem right now as a preorder) as it's a new engine etc., but other than that i'm not really fussed.

Yep. I think 2013 was the last one I purchased (Blue box that had some classic scenarios). It was fun, decent handling and physics with tyre wear etc.

Speaking of which, a quick reminder that F1 2013 is free on 360 through Games with Gold until the end of the month, for anyone that wants a dabble.

Last one I got was the one with the classic cars and tracks, I just time trailed brands hatch over and over and never even looked at the modern f1 bit.

Got this today, really enjoying the handling and the racing. Last proper one I've played was F12010 so I can see the difference. Voice commands hardly ever work for me though which is disappointing.

Haven't tried the online yet either.

I didn't think this was out for ages, looked unfinished from the recent footage.
