I hope the modders manage to completely reverse engineer the free to play stuff so that I can get my money back for the piece of gooseberry fool that is Halo MCC.

Seriously, strawberry float them. They had no problem releasing a broken game for people to spend £40 on.

hopefully they've seen sense and decided to bow to the public and make the game not Russia-only.

Oh wow. I should give this a go then. Do you happen to have a 'getting started' guide?

Its pretty much as simple as installing Halo online and eldewrito. All instructions can be found on the reddit anyway

I just recorded some footage from 0.4.7 yesterday, just to show off some of the new stuff

So glad medals and the announcer are back

Really makes you wonder why they don't release this in the West.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I can see MS getting it taken down soon, especially with Halo 6 PC bound.

Its out and its open source, theres no putting this genie back in the bottle. You cant C&D it because even if the devs stop working on it, you would have to C&D every single person playing it because anyone can host a server for it

I still think MCC is coming to PC eventually so they could just release that and kill this in 1 swoop. They might hire the guy behind this mod tho.

Given the amount of posts on the subreddit from MMC owners saying that this version of H3 is more enjoyable than the MCC version, i dont think itd kill it off that easily.

You realise it's being more or less re-started from scratch again? A major patch including Native 4k Support is coming late summer, its already in a closed Beta on insider Xbox members and a further massive patch is coming before the end of the year. I think the second patch will coincide with the PC release.

Also, I've played Halo 3 on MCC a ton and it's excellent as it is, the map rotation was a bit off but it worked great.

Here's some Halo 3, Halo 4 and Halo 2 Anniversary mp.

Also it means not having to use the w10 store, which makes it worth it on its own.

Brerlappin wrote:But this is exactly one of the reasons people want to play eldewrito. They can play what they want, when they want, without having to rely on 343 getting the playlist right. Whatever happens with MCC the fact that this game is 100% customizable by the player means it will always have some people interested in it

Well of course but I'd be surprised if it has anywhere near the numbers on MCC on Xbox even now or when/if it launches (even on Windows 10 :dread: )

Who cares about numbers? As long as you can find a game it doesn't matter. On PC these communities have insane longevity.

Is it still bad for games? I only use it for Spotify the like and it's now serviceable for that. It'll take them years to get over just how bad it was though.

Just had this on for a few matches and strawberry float, I'd forgotten how fun Halo MP could be. A few Big Team Battles and a King of the Hill made me rather sad at the current state of online games, where 'competitiveness' rules.

Valhalla is the best map in Halo, possibly all the Halo's. I do like Zanzibar also for its 1 objective types.

I've played on Valhalla a s*** ton on from Halo 2 - Halo 5. Looks best on Halo 4 but probably plays best on Halo 3. I also love Avalanche which was a Halo 3 dlc map afaik. It's shaped like a horse shoe with warp points and a central cave all set in the snow.

It's really weird how different in skill level I am with different Halo's. I'm TERRIBLE in Halo 2, middling in Halo 3 and not too bad in Halo 4. I'm pretty poor at Halo 5 these days, I did git gud for a while though.

I tried this ages ago and it was pretty janky early on, might download it this evening and give it a try.
