I'm sure the Moors of Spain didn't fight for many years after centuries of ruling the land just to hand the place over to the Christians either.\

Whatever that means.

Things change, get over it.

My aunt just posted this:

Image

It's not so much the scam that annoys me, but there are a few tiers of social media retardation:

1. Sharing a screenshot of a website
2. Sharing a mobile screenshot of a screenshot of a website
3. Printing a copy and paste of an article from a website, then taking a photo of it and uploading it to Facebook on Facebook mobile
4. Actually strawberry floating typing out a mishmash of bits from a Website, adding random racist undertones, increasing key figures by 100x, repeatedly stating key facts in bold and underlined and then highlighting that key fact once.
5. See 3.
6. Sharing this non- fact checked blatantly retarded gooseberry fool and getting the key figure wrong.

This is why I try not to have any young, single mums on my Facebook friends.
Absolute drivel.

No other mums make a song and dance about this gooseberry fool, and I'd give my missus a talking to if she started this bollocks.

Right, firstly, has anybody ever said 'you're just a mum?' to anyone? I'd imagine the real issue here is that the 'author' has a chip on their shoulder over never having really achieved anything with their life beyond procreation which in and of itself isn't an achievement. Bringing up well-balanced, intelligent, pleasant children is the achievement and based on that post, I don't fancy her chances.

Secondly, as you say, it talks about motherhood as if it's a new/secret concept. As if every person on the planet hasn't had a mother themselves, to some degree.

I have carried out a rationalisation programme following a period of consultation, and would like to advise Just a Mum of the following restructuring, to take effect immediately:

Alarm clock - can be done by an actual alarm clock. Position will therefore be made redundant.
Cook, maid and waitress - these positions will be merged into one, as none of the tasks need to be fulfilled simultaneously. Therefore cook and waitress will be made redundant, and you will each be applying for the position of Head Maid.
Teacher - the state has supplied free education for children for many years now, therefore your position is redundant.
Nurse - see 'teacher', but remove 'free education' and add 'free healthcare'. FYI, sticking a plaster to a grazed knee and administering calpol does not make you a nurse.
Referee - this makes no sense and the position is therefore redundant.
Security officer - by this, if you mean 'keeping an eye on your children', then it should be a role that you can complete as part of your other duties. The position is therefore being made redundant.
Photographer - nobody wants to see pictures of your minging children. This position is therefore being made redundant.
Counselor - assuming you are fulfilling your role as Just a Mum correctly, this will not be required. This position is therefore to be made redundant.
Event planner - hiring a bouncy castle and putting some Iceland food on paper plates is NOT an event. Redundant.
There is no such thing as the boogie man. You should be telling your children this, rather than lying to them by appearing to scare away a non-existent entity. They'll end up needing a counselor the way you're carrying on, love.

Following this restructure, you have the joint titles of Head Maid, hairdresser and chauffeur. I hope I've made your life easier.

It's always the layabouts that post this gooseberry fool, and never the mums who work 40hours a week while their child is in school and still do everything else these 'full time mummy' idiots do.

And how much of that would you do for yourself anyway? Technically I'm a chef, cleaner, nurse, accountant and all just by being an adult looking after myself. That's before you even consider my actual job title and being skivvy to Anung.
