The Evil Within

Bethesda have released a teaser video on micro-video-blogging service Vine for a new game
It's 6 seconds long.
It shows barbed wire.
A text book spinning.
And you can hear the sound of a needle on a vinyl record (which I think forms part of the intro sound for Fallout 3).

Pausing it at the right moments lets you spot a record playing from an artist called “The Moonbeam Trio”. A little digging later and “The Moonbeam Trio” were a New York based act in the mid-1930s. Could Fallout be heading to New York?

Maybe this will be shown at the next Xbox reveal?! I love Fallout 3 so it would be so amazing if this was out before Christmas.

EDIT: An Italian game journo on Twitter says he's confident its a teaser for Fallout but Bethesda's Peter Hine tells him to 'guess again.'

Hmm. Funny time for a teaser considering all evidence so far hints the game will be set in Boston.

Still, here's hoping.

Could certainly be set in both New York and Boston, they're fairly close to one another.

Not sure it would be wise to reveal a game set in post-apocalyptic Boston right now though

As I posted somewhere else on here, I paused the looping vine thing at the right moment and could see "air on the g string" written on the record, whatever significance that has.

I was hoping there was going to be more to it than that but all it literally does show is Sunflowers catching fire :lol:

Not usually a fan of all these teasers to be honest but i'd love it if it was leading up to a Fallout 4 announcement. When i first saw the teaser they released yesterday my first thought was that it was definitely Fallout, but i've seen a few arguments suggesting that it may well be Wolfenstein - apparently a new developer's been working away on that so it could easily be due a reveal soon.

Can't tell if that creepy looking dude in the background is a statue or someone in some sort of military uniform.

Yeah I'd love it if it was a new Fallout game too! But Bethesda have denied it on Twitter (see above).

Probably a brand new IP, if those denials are true.

Or they are pissed off that someone got it right first time and it is Fallout. :lol:

Yeah just seen that in your opening post. These days you never know when devs are 'playing' the internet when they deny a teaser or whatever is for this game or that. I don't know why but I have a feeling Bethesda are telling the truth when they say this probably isn't for Fallout 4. I'll put my money on Wolfenstein. I'm still expecting/hoping a new Fallout is revealed at E3 though. :datass:
