Haven't started yet, but spent some time messing around with the settings and I can max everything but the resolution, which won't go higher than 1440x900 without becoming a juddering mess. I guess I'll try the border fixes and 60fps, see if that makes any further improvements...

edit - okay, so that didn't work. Flawless Widescreen installed, found the game and seemed to be configuring, but didn't change anything when I started it up. Am I doing something wrong? And can I use this to change the fps?

It's a rural area, and always been bad, but a couple of times it went down to literally dial-up speed. I think the ISP is being a cock because I've downloaded 100GB in the last few weeks.

This seems to be so nonsensical that I can't find it spooky or tense at all. While Alien wasn't scary it was insanely tense, my nerves would be shredded after a session. But I'm not that bothered while playing this. It's such OTT nonsense that I can't care for it and I don't care if I live or die.

I got bored at chapter 2.

It is a promising game but just bored me . The whole ''i'm going crazy'' theme is just strawberry floating stupid. ruined the whole game after first chapter was great.

Anyone else noticed he had a huge gash in his leg, and runs into the lift but comes out as if he was never injured?

See, I probably went overboard with the critisicms tbh :shifty: but I had very high expectations coming from Mikami.

But it's still great. It does everything it should do.

Brer, do you understand what the strawberry float is going on yet?

If I did would I ask him? None of it makes sense, the guy in the cloak..complete lack of explanation during cut scenes. I genuinely have no idea. Obviously it's some sort of mind strawberry float, but apart from that, no.

Not a strawberry floating clue
Tho im assuming its basically the crazy kids delusions come to life or some gooseberry fool. Story its fairly awful but that's par for the course for Japan I guess. Otherwise the game is pretty great so far

Glowy's right - they are dumb. But it's the old issue that resi4 had (among other games), where they can only attack one at a time with the rest just standing around waiting their turn.

Of course, if they did all attack at once it would pretty much be instadeath, but it does look a bit gooseberry fool when they just repeatedly watch you run past them. I suppose they could just be so overly concerned with menacing you that they want to drag it out for as long as possible...

Got to chapter 9 and the game is steadily improving. There is way too much wrong here for me to call this a good game though. I couldn't recommend this to anyone.

Just about to start chapter 3, enjoyed first two unlike most people!Constant sense of dread playing this, actually jumped when chainsaw chap got me

The art direction is so good, love it. Think the graphics in game are gorgeous too, cutscenes do let it down but meh. Also fine will the controls, no issues so far and work for the type of game it is.

Struggling with this, 2 chapters down and I'm bored. It's got one more chapter, otherwise it's going back to boomerang.

Yeah, I'm done. Not a strawberry floating clue where to go, the stealth is tedious and trial and error and the number of times I've died and the associated reload time makes it a test of patience. Not for me.
