Yeah they do, mainly stuff from the fallout 3 soundtrack gets added so the quality/appeal goes down for me as I've heard those loads. Plus if you ever go in the third rail they start playing Lynda Carter's dogshit songs too
Classical station has some really good selections and the ambient music is good too, probably the first time since Oblivion that I've thought that about a Beth game

Where do you get a hazmat suit? I kind of need one for the next story quest. I'm not a power armour guy.

I can't remember where I found mine. I had it long before that story mission came up, so as soon as it said I needed some serious Rad Resistance I went back to my base and picked it up.

I THINK there's one or two near the Quest Item for the "Tradecraft" quest you do for the Railroad.

There's one in Diamond City that you can buy.

I've reached a point in the main story where I have to choose between The Institute and The Brotherhood of Steel. After the Brotherhood made me slaughter the Railroad (without warning me I was going to immediately becoming their enemies) and betray Danse, I'm sorely tempted to just strawberry float the bastards and side with the Institute

How effective is a Hazmat suit for trudging about in highly radioactive places? The assault gas mask lets tons in.

I used it for the Glowing Sea and it was constantly <1 Rads and I didn't see my radiation level increase at all as a result. I think the actual protection it offers is +1000 to Radiation Resistance but obviously you lose all your other armour while you wear it.

Yeah, I got bumraped by a glowing Deathclaw while wearing one. Forget to switch back to my armour before commencing battle.

Had my first "Holy gooseberry fool" moment today exploring the far North East, pottering along inside a bait shop. I come out... bam, Mirelurk Queen. I run the strawberry float away...bam. Alpha Deathclaw. Poor Valentine did his best but I legged it and ended up leading both nasties into a trader who distracted then long enough for me to get away.

Level 39 and I still feel like the Commonwealth could eat me up and spit me out. I love it.

Hazmat suit is +1000 rad protection. Pretty much protects against all rads. No damage though.

Is it better to make ultra light armour or deep pocketed?

I would only go fully light armour if I was going heavily into a close-up stealthy/sneaking build.

I have a mixture of synth, leather and combat armour - all unique with stat buffs + deep pockets. And I can sneak fine mostly from a reasonable distance.

All my stuff is deep pocketed apart from my chestpiece which came lead lined and stayed as such.

I just did the Witchcraft Museum quest where there was a deathclaw in a building and it turns out you can just walk out the room and he can't follow so I just kept popping into the room and shooting him with a gun I had loads of bullets for and there was sod all he could do. At one point he got stuck mid animation and I just repeatedly shot him in the head for ages.
Very strange.

I've also completely given up on hacking as it just seems to make no logical sense.
I should by pure luck get the right password now and then but I seem to always fail and even when I have 3 similar and pick what I think it must be I just then get zero similar and I'm yet again baffled. I think I've had about 300 or so attempts and only managed to get the first few because the game just let me open it whatever I picked.

So if I start both the brotherhood and railway story lines can I finish them both first play through or will the game strawberry float me over at some point?

Damn but this game is so much fun. I really do enjoy just building up sanctuary as a fortress, only settlement I care about because it's home to me. No one would be attacking it any time soon!
