I've recently started playing this, can someone tell me how I get to level 1 and beyond on perks? Taking strength as an example, I have all 8 stars but level 1 says I need STR1. What exactly do I need to do?

*edit* ignore!

Yes?

I've done the first quest which reminds me of an unmarked location in the main game. Rather than crack on with the story I've gone off exploring and picked up a side quest involving a cult spoofing Scientologists.

There won't be any mod support on PS4 due to Sony.

After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition.

Like you, we are disappointed by Sony’s decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive. We consider this an important initiative and we hope to find other ways user mods can be available for our PlayStation audience. However, until Sony will allow us to offer proper mod support for PS4, that content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim on PlayStation 4 will not be available.

We will provide an update if and when this situation changes.

Sony really trying their best to give Scorpio momentum.

Traded this in today, hadn't touched it in months and the thought of returning to the game actually made my head hurt  I just think it was too big for me to commit to properly, but I enjoyed what I did play of it.

I only got halfway down the map as well :fp:

Sony should allow Bethesda to do what they want re mods. Bethesda in the meantime should compile a best of mods and release that on PSN. I wonder if that will happen...

Sony have really gooseberry fool the bed this week. I'll be getting Skyrim SE on XB1, and no doubt it will look better than PS4/Pro when Scorpio comes out.

Am I the only person for whom mods aren't an issue?

It would be nice to have the option though, surely?

It's just standard internet overreaction.

People being upset about Sony blocking more features, possibly new ways to play, is not an overreaction. If you aren't interested in mods that's cool, I'm not interested in replaying Fallout 4, but mods can add to the longevity of a game without costing players extra. There's nothing in that news which is good for consumers.

Hmm, I suppose so yeah. While I agree it is a shame for those PS4 users that were waiting on them I do however disapprove of people using the decision to get on their XBOX fanboy soapboxes.

Honestly? You didn't miss much. I wish I'd done the same. The game wasn't a patch on Skyrim.

Really? An overreaction?

This is a clear advantage for Microsoft, once Scorpio is out and the performance advantage of the PS4 has gone, the XB1 version of games with mods will be the definitive console version. For someone like me that will own both a PS4/pro and XB1/Scorpio, the XB1 version will be a no brainer.

Currently the PS4 is my default format.

Fixed issue with Nuka World monorail not starting properly

Shame about the mods, been some great mods released. Annoying for Skyrim as well.

What is Sony's issue? Are they scared of inappropriate user mods or viruses?

Even if you aren't into the mods that add clothes, weapons, furniture, building improvement etc, there are some that just fix bugs.

So Sony wanted content on their consoles that weren't buggy pieces of gooseberry fool? Outrageous. Disgusting. Advantage Scorpio.
