How do.

Sorry for the wait, I've been away.

Ok.....

Match A.

Both teams look very strong attacking wise, but I would find it hard for the whole midfield in the "The Fighting Mongoose" team to gel. Perhaps a formation change might settle that, but for now I see it as a problem. The two guys up front for "SLID FC" with the support of the wingers prove too much for the defense of "TFM"....

SLID FC Win

Match B

I think any team with Ronaldo in it is bound to have goals. You've so many options from free kicks, set plays with Toni and Santa Cruz running off the big man. I can't see Gallas coping with Toni at corner kicks, and that's the difference to me.

CoraTeam Win

What kind of Arsenal fan are you? I've got Theirry strawberry floating Henry. Reconsider now.

Don't you start this again. I'm not the one who brought shame on the Pirates by crashing out first.

You brought shame on the Pirates long before that, son.

OK, my thinking was in round 2 we'd have 5 knockout games like round 1, to get down to 5 teams. But then the judges would each pick their wild card favourite from the round 2 matches, to give us a final 6. Spicy.

Then round three, 6 teams in knockout again - and then a final round of 3 way - i.e. a mini league with 3 games overall, to give a winnar.

Then I thought we probably wouldn't do this again for a whole year. At least.

I expect him to use his keen sense of judgement, fairness and consideration, combined with his good looks and charm as well as an obvious attraction to the ladies to decide the outcome of our game, Mocky.

I was just wondering, in order to move this along, could we put through all four teams involved in the two close match-ups. That would give us 12 teams for the next round and 6 after that. Finally we would be left with a top 3.

[I am away at the end of this week for a couple so anyhting I can get done now ...]

But born within that genetic hatred lies a mutual respect.

I've only got free time tomorrow night to go over the rest properly...

Is that going to be a problem?

No to that idea, since some of the reason the close matches are close is not so much the quality of the teams as the risibly and dismally low quality of their strikeforces...

However, I do have an idea as to moving it along more quickly, since most of round 2 can be posted already - which I'll do shortly.
