Glad I took Reus and Strootman out, but I had Van Persie as captain and Akinfeev didn't even play. :fp:

Clean sheets for Neuer and Boateng, not a bad day.

Is anyone else having problems signing into this today. It keeps telling me my password is incorrect even though it's not, and an error occurs when I try to reset it. :?

Edit: I'm in now using the password that it kept telling me was wrong. Silly site. :)

Aww I changed my captain from Dzagoev to Arshavin, decided Dzagoev wouldn't score again today. Hopefully Arshavin will get another assist/goal.

Changed my captain from Van Persie to Gomez before the second round of matches started. 8-)

Getting absolutely no where at the moment, Van Der Wiel has been appaling and my three strikers of Ronaldo, Podolski and Jalevic havent really got many points.

Hoping Iniesta pulls the strings tonight as my captain (and spain actually play a striker to get some assists)

Taken out Seb Larsson and Van Der Wiel and brought in Lescott and Dzagoev.

Bring on after the group stages and then I'll completely change my squad and use the wildcard so it doesn't cost anything! 8-)

Just to let you know, you get unlimited free transfers after the group stages anyway, so I'd use it before this next round as you get extra free ones before semi/finals too. Before kick off I was 662 in the overall league! That is almost definitely the peak of my tournament over with then.

Bollocks, I forgot to sub in lescott for my Greek player. Hopefully he has got his only goal out of the way and Sweden score, but one less than England...

Was away for the first ten days of the tournament with no internet access so I've given up on this now  :fp:

Not too bothered - although I put a fiver in for the one at work I'm in, with a jackpot of over £150. Could probably have tried to keep up with that one...

Just thought I'd bump this before the final.

I had a good run, staying in the top 500 until the semi finals. Germany going out screwed up my team and I've had to spend points to get 11 players. (Torres and Fabregas included, so potentially 9).

Still not a bad run for me, just hoping to cling on to first in the GRcade league.

I was doing quite well until I replaced Casillas for Neuer at the Quarter Final stage.

Hopefully I will be able to get some decent points tonight as I am now using my wild card and have kept some 4 point costing players from Greece and Czech Republic as my subs to give me more money to spend. As soon as the starting line ups are announced I will change things around so that every player in my team will definitely be playing.

Should have stuck with Jordi Alba as my captain, I think I've blown it on the last game. :fp:

I nearly snuck into first place in the premier league one on the penultimate weekend of the season after not being there at all through the season... gone one better this time and actually timed it to go top on the last game :D

Captain Alba! I only did it for a laugh as that joker of an assistant manager suggested it and I was far enough ahead in the work's league
