Fair enough.

Currently levelling up battle arena so I can get my hands on Bushman automatic rifle.

Finished it yesterday and loved it. Tried my best to make it last until Friday (so I could go all but straight on to Saint's Row IV remaster) but I was too close to the end and couldn't stay away.
I wonder if I will like FC 5 as much if it too ends up being a lot like the last two games but is also a lot of strawberry floating fun to play.

The bushman isn't that great. It's not that accurate.

It had the tighest spread of all the automatic rifles I used and I played with most of 'em. I dunno if it's worth the grind but it's def not what I would describe as inacurate. (unless you just hold the trigger down instead of using short bursts)

If I thought I hate the stealth before I've just reached the prison escape mission :dread:

This might be where I leave the game, it's an absolute stinker of a level.

You're absolutely right but it doesn't last long. Once you've done the breaking out and are amongst the workers just rush to the base of the tower (you may need to stealth kill a couple of guards), pick up as much gear and ammo as you can on the ground floor and blast your way out. The exit to the stage is a short distance from tower.

Managed to get through it mainly because the game wouldn't let me save and quite. I don't think I've enjoyed a single campaign mission in this so far. They've created an enormous world yet most of the main story missions take place on remote locations.

It might just be open world fatigue on my part but there must be more interesting ways developers can use the open world template.

Finally remembered to redeem the free code I got from Ubisoft for the Unity season pass. Enjoying it so far, at least it doesn't run like absolute shite on console like FC3.

What is it with these games and unlikeable characters? Far Cry 3 was full of smug, smarmy pricks and they are almost as annoying in this. Those two Golden Path folk who just shout at you after missions, and those "oi oi have a puff m8" banana splits that break into your homestead and give you drugs in particular are the worst. There's some other shouty bro knob too.

The most likeable person is the main villain ffs.

God I wish there was a way I was allowed to shoot those two. They broke into my house and then drugged me, I want them dead.

Hit an unusual problem with this yesterday. I was doing the "sneak into Pete(whoever that is)'s party mission for Noore where you have to climb in the truck at the end - no problem with that, but after the screen blacks out and Ajay and her have a bit of a gab the screen stays black. I can hear my character moving/shooting but can't see a damn thing. I've had a look at some videos for that mission and whilst you are supposed to pop out in a darkened bit I have trouble believing my brightness is that far off. Frustrating because it's a campaign mission and I'm almost totally done with the South. Meanwhile the Yogi and Dipshit missions work fine :x

What's everyone's preferred loadout btw? I actually got the Bushman really easily (used the FC4 arena app on my phone and played it on and off for about an hour in work, job done) and quite like it. As someone else suggested, it's best not too blam it full auto or you won't hit a damn thing. I'm having incredible success with one-tap headshots though which is nice because I normally stink the place up with accuracy. Nothing as satisfying as running across a random mook and hearing "You won't get out of here al..." before they're dead. I also use the bow, M79 (I know it's n00by but it's so fricking useful) and I think the 87, but was thinking of switching out the AR for a better AR or LMG and the shotty for a...better one. Although I don't have too many complaints about the 87.

Suggestions?

I've been using that semi-auto pistol that you can unlock from Uplay, the STG-90, recurve bow and the Z93 sniper rifle.

M-79 sidearm grenade launcher
Shredder (ridiculously OP SMG that's also great at range)
Bull (shotgun that can kill most animals in 1 shot)
Silenced sniper rifle

Someone else?! strawberry floating... someone else. 4 posts above yours, man. Why u do dis?

Good luck getting that bug sorted out. As much as I enjoyed it was as though every other session brought with it a new issue that needed resolving. Most of mine were sorted with a hard restart.

My final loadout:

Bushman  (Shredder is a very good alt, wish I'd realised that before being so close to the end)

SA-50 Sniper (silenced sniper with massive magazine and possibly very little sway/recoil - loved the compound bow but it was just too hit and miss over extra-long distances, ditched it once silenced snipers became available)

A.J.M. 9 (Silenced and accurate short burst sidearm -U Play)

Bull (what Buff said)

Make sure you unlock Buzzsaw and take it out to try even if it's for all of five minutes. It's a lot of fun.

I just realised I never used Guns for Hire

I'm very close to the end of this now, almost completely upgraded and have nearly all the signature weapons. Just wondered if anyone fancies doing the fortresses in co-op?

I ask more just for fun than anything.

Plus I think I could get all the trophies which I've never come close to (not that I've tried).

*edit*Genuinely no idea what happened there [emoji1]

Does games website mirror their prices in store? I want to get this today, and it's showing £3 dearer than Amazon.

You lot all seem to love it. And it's been a while since I've had a decent FPS.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Nope. According to one member of staff I spoke to, the website is run by a different company. My thought was that was a bullshit excuse as to why the prices are different.
