Wasn't this game added to the launch line up quite late on? Maybe they rushed it out to get some day one sales.

Will probably buy with Friend Online Support, but I'll need to make a UK account to do so since it isn't up on the JP Shop :/

I got it, only played the first grand prix and the first hero mode track, but it seems like a good tweaked version of the wiiu game. I love that hero mode unlocks for tracks straight away (proper f-zero shield-is-boost) and the completely remappable controls is super useful.

Really on the fence about buying this, having people round over the weekend, do those who have it think it'd be a good game for local split-screen multiplayer?

Played some 4-player splitscreen the other night and it's fun. A decent sized TV helps though as it can be tricky to see where you're going in such a small space at such high-speeds.

Plenty of tracks to get through as well.

Great, I think I'll pick it up, will be nice to have something a bit different to Zelda as well and once they let you play online with friends perhaps we can even get some online races going on the forum too

It's going to be my favourite Switch game I think based on early impressions!

We should do a night of this sometime. I've hardly played it and I feel I need to justify the £20 I spent.

I'd be up for that, though to be honest my experience with it online has been seeing other racers jitter all over the track...I see it as Trackmania esque competing time trials where you get bumped every once in a while

For what it's worth, I got a lot of value out of the game doing the single player stuff, hero mode in particular I found wildly addictive. Still enjoyed it online too despite the less than ideal latency, at least it doesn't lag.
