The positives of being a light sleeper. :)

Though the negatives tend to far outway the positives. :(

It just occured to me that Shenmue hasn't had a mention yet! Cracking soundtrack!

I want some of the music that played as you walked the streets! Loved that stuff.

Zub and Armurote on the 128K speccy. For some reason the budget games in the 8-bit era (particular Codemasters) had the greatest music ever - mostly done by Dave Whittaker as I remember it.

Oh, and Rob Hubbard's title theme tune on the Megadrive version of PGA Tour Golf, the Chemical Plant Zone in Sonic 2, the music to Freedom Fighters and all of the latin-choir-singing-stuff in Hitman:Blood Money.

For some reason tunes these days don't register with me so much as during the 8-bit and 16-bit eras - certainly they're not something that I'd deliberately listen to on the sound test without playing the game as I used to sometimes on Sonic 2.

... and just for Cal.

:D Just amazing how good it still is. I've got the whole album now (thanks Galbadia Hotel! http://gh.ffshrine.org/ ), and it never leaves my reliable old 40GB Creative Zen. This title track is without doubt one of the highlights of the album, but in all honesty the entire album oozes quality. The very best game soundtrack ever, imo. More than holds its own as a very enjoyable album in its own right.

PS: I've always enjoyed the sop to foot fetish fanatics in the video. Gotta love Reiko.

She features in my new volume of GRcade avatars - Game Face Vol1 - now available on the site. See a preview here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=486

It's such a bad track, they should've kept the one from the demo. I'd look for that track again, but nowhere has it. :(

Nice one. Especially like Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Eternal Sonata.

Needs more ICO. "You Were There"

Lost Odyssey: Kaette Kuru Kitto

Metal Gear Solid: Enclosure (Plays on top of Metal Gear Rex during a certain ending  )

Metal Gear Solid: The best is yet to come End credit music.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops: Calling to the Night (Best lyrical credit song in the series?)

Metal Gear Solid 4: Father & Son

Metal Gear Solid 4: Here's to you.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Life's End

And the daddy of all Metal Gear Solid music:

Metal Gear Solid 3: Debriefing. This music will remain with me forever, followed with that huge sense of guilt. It is what made the ending so sad. Starts properly at about 3 minutes.

The main theme from Lost Odyssey is brilliant, I was humming it all the way through the game.

Anyone who has played it will probably feel the same way about this music:

The intro music that goes along with Bionic Commando: Rearmed's opening cutscene is good. Kicks in with the drums just as the 'Press Start' screen comes up. AWW YEAH.

I love this one. Have you ever heard the original tune on which it's based? It's a bit different but Grant Kirkhope pisses all over it.

For me:
Zelda Majora's Mask - Termina Field

Perfect Dark introduction. Kirkhope used a synthetizer sound I've never heard anywhere else, especially in Perfect Dark, and everytime I hear it it makes me sad for some reason.

(quality sucks)

Duck Tales: Moon Level

(starts properly at 00:25)
