So does that early access not include any of the online modes?

Just playing it now. Feels like the players are just gliding around the pitch and the responsiveness isn't really there. The presentation is great, but i am glad i got pro - this isn't a patch on it.

How long do these demos stay exclusive to gold members?

lol GF of course.

So now some notes from somebody who actually played a lot of FIFA16.

So far so good, the game feels fairly similar to last years but with some added tweaks and movement, the players runs seem a lot better when trying through balls and just general movement is better. If you played a lot of FIFA16 you'll see what i mean. The tactics seem to react the same so by changing to possession tactics or going with default setups. I used these quite a lot last year and they seem to do the same so far. Shooting feels different with a variety of extra styles of shots taking place and don't look as predictable and so far the keepers seem fine much like last year. Pace seems to be similar to last year as well where it is helpful but it isn't all just based on pace and once again the stronger players can out muscle the weaker ones.

As for the detail the new frostbite engine looks bloody nice, the detail on the players are pretty incredible ,the shirts bob about realistically and hang off the players rather than looking like they are suctioned on to them. It's a small detail but it adds to the game i think. The menus of course look great again and the presentation is top notch.

Overall i like it. Got to play a bit more though but overall it seems a good upgrade to last years which i loved playing.

I never pay much attention to the demo, it might just be me but the demo and the final game always feel so different every single year.

I really enjoyed the demo. Player movement feels much better than last year, much smoother. Animations look great as well, the players feel a lot more unique than they did before.

Really didn't get on with the PES demo, their general presentation is still awful and the players felt clunky so it'll definitely be FIFA again for me this year.

Anyone know if the download code that comes with the Xbox One S can be used by *anyone*? (Like, it's not going to somehow be locked to the console or anything?)

Assuming I can get rid of it, I'll have a code (and I guess the EA Access code, too) when my Xbox One S turns up in a week or so. Does anyone want to buy it off me? :shifty:

Pretty sure it's just a code included in the box so yeah you should be able to sell it.

I missed out on both FIFA and PES last year. Played both demos and I thought FIFA looked like gooseberry fool, the players still have those funny wide shoulders and I didn't feel like the responsiveness was there.

I will say one thing though in that the players in FIFA actually feel like they have some speed as opposed to PES where Messi couldn't run past some defender I had never heard of.

Might just wait for a price drop in both and then decide.

Am I right in saying that the XBox 360 version doesn't have the Journey mode? I've had a quick scan of the internet and can't find a definitive answer.

Holy gooseberry fool the player models!!!!

It only took 10 years, but fck they fixed the player models, no more weird shoulders, Crouch legs or clown feet, they look human. Sweaty Pogba looks amazing, yes I like the graphics :)

Zlatan will remember that.

I'm choosing FIFA this year for sure. Can't resist a trash story mode

Yep, one thing I will say is that the graphics are great. The player faces are better in PES 2017 imo, but the lighting in Fifa is stunning.

I was hoping the demo would be a throwback to the stuff I liked about FIFA but it seems to be the opposite. Sad to see the ping-pong super accurate passing is back (Or still in, I haven't played recent FIFA games) Ironically, I'll be passing this year.

Jerky animations aside I'd be tempted to say this is the better looking game.

Really like the spongy look of the grass during gameplay.

Don't care what either this or PES look like, it's all about gameplay.

i'm like that and for me it's FIFA. PES this year is too much like last year which i just didn't enjoy, glad it has its fans this year as well though as it's better to have two good football games as they both then need to keep improving.
