Are all the elements of the OP only available in random loot packs?

This might just be the best thread on the entire forum.

FIFA is Aids, I made the thread cos Jawa didn't want PES thread have FIFA stuff in it.

PES is also a form of Aids.

Just played the demo and, wow! This has really come out of nowhere hasn't it, I'm really impressed.

I've been saying for years now that they need to go back to basics with the gameplay and copy PES and this is certainly a good attempt. The way players control the ball, dribble, turn and knock it between their feet is straight out of PES.

This really feels like EA's PES 2014 moment where they've laid a solid foundation, they need to keep improving now and, if they can smoothen things out and add more depth I might be buying FIFA next year

I'm a big fan of FIFA18, but I don't think I'll be getting a new football game this year. I'm not arsed about the updated squads, I only ever play career mode so the squads are always completely different from reality.

I'm sure this'll be more of the same though - outstanding presentation and gameplay, but with the usual changes that make it less good than it could be. But then if they released the perfect game they'd struggle to sell it again next year...

I buy Fifa every single year and this year will be no different, I am looking forward to it, I play FUT so need the latest version and I also enjoy the journey story mode

I can't decide what football game to get this year. I haven't bought one since Fifa 16, so it's definitely time.

I'm enjoying the pes demo but I'm tempted by Fifa on Switch. Having a football game I can play handheld is very appealing. Decisions.

Man kicked ball and then performs fully clothed gay sex act with other man.

You are now caught up on Fifa.

What about the back story? I know everyone wants to kick the ball, but why? Why is the ball so hated?

We must really have opposing tastes when it comes to football games, I remember us arguing when I was gushing about how good PES 2015 was.

FIFA 14-18 were utter dog gooseberry fool, this is good, play the demo

Won't be getting this years version (unless it goes down to £20 after Christmas like Fifa 18 did on the Switch), I only buy a new Fifa every few years anyway (before 18, 13 was my last version on the Wii U) so I doubt I'll be missing out on much by waiting a couple of years to update.

Also I've really not played much of Fifa 18 to start with

The ball disapproves of them expressing their homosexuality so much on the pitch.

Played the demo with a keyboard and mouse as I couldn't be arsed setting up my pad late at night. Was interesting, worked better than I thought it would.

It's a good demo tbf.

The best new feature is the little icon showing who you'll change to if you press change player when defending.
