Voting open

Jin Roh - The Wolf Brigade
The Thin Red Line
Mad Max 2 - The Road Warrior

I'm assuming that The Thin Red Line is the 1998 version and not the 1964 one

PLAY | Persona 3 Reloaded [3h]
WATCH | Ted Lasso S3, HiJack S1, Red Dwarf S4, Dexter S2
RACE | Chew Valley 10k (June), GNR (Sept), Cardiff Half (Oct)

It is the 98 version.

The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them in parliament.

I'm giving it an 8 - watched it in December and really enjoyed it. Ticks all of my boxes, and I'm a massive fan of post-apocalyptic stuff. You can see where Borderlands takes all it's inspiration from.

Do you have to have seen Mad Max for it to make any sense?

No, it flashes back to the only important bit of Mad Max. It's also a much, much better film.

Oh definitely, it's great. TRW is the best of the three, but they're all very good and deserve your attention.

Thinking about it, it's influenced so much stuff. It nails the post-apocalyptic vibe, and I was shocked at how much of a different beast it is to its predecessor. Rarely does a sequel do that, especially nowadays.

I watched Calvary today thinking it was part of the Film Club but it apparently wasn't. I'll rate it a 8/10 anyway though because it was great.

Were the World Mine

It's Flashdance with gay people.

Chap who's playing Puck in his school production of A Midsummer Night's Dream stumbles across the recipe for the love potion from the play, and goes around turning all the homophobes gay. Hilarity ensues.

Or doesn't. I'm not sure. My friend's been bugging me to watch it for years. It got Zelda Williams in too, if that takes anyone's fancy.

The Signal

Everyone seemed to enjoy my last William Eubank nomination (Love), so I figured I'd stick this in here too. I'm not sure what the plot actually is, so it's probably best to go in relatively blind. It's a little higher budget, features Larry "USE THE LADIES ROOM" Fishburne, and has absolutely no Angels and Airwaves.

Wish I Was Here

Zach Braff's infamous Kickstarter funded spiritual successor to Garden State. It's got Turk in it. That's really all you need to know.

Sorry guys. I've usually got a whole bunch worked out in advance but I didn't think I'd be getting chance to nominate anything this time around :slol:
