On the subject of interminable scenes, Throne of Blood has one as well. It's mid tier Kurosawa for sure. Very, very nice to look at, though.

Bit disappointed to hear that. From what I'd read I was hoping for THE film adaptation of Macbeth, as polanski's sure as gooseberry fool isn't. And kurosawa has chops when it comes to shakespeare. Ach well.

I expect this will get me shot down on here...

Commando starring Arnold Schwarzenegger

Also haven't seen all of the godfather trilogy, only some.

Pains me to admit that I've also never seen The Shining.

...Oh and Schindler's List is another.

Just started to watch solyaris, and I think I'm in for something special. DM, you have to be joking.

The Godfather is the only one I really feel bad about. Anything made before the 60s I have zero interest in.

Mid-tier Kurosawa is still bloody great.

I still own two copies of it. In its defence, I'm not keen on Macbeth.

TimeGhost, seeing as you love Yojimbo, you should check out Sanjuro if you haven't already. It's like a more light-hearted sequel with one of the coolest endings of any film ever.

I haven't watch Godfather 3, although it's been sitting on my shelf for over 5 years.

It's a wonderful life

I've never watched True Blood/Dexter/NCIS/CSI/Soparnos/other gritty crime related USA TV shows.

Godfather 3 - Although it's probably not a bad thing!
I have loads of films that I have not watched yet, that I own, I just have to be in the right mood for something new.
The Wire/The Shield/Deadwood/Justified/Boardwalk Empire/Lost/How I met your mother/The Big Bang Theory/Spartacus/Band Of Brothers to name a few TV shows sitting on my PC, that I just don't have time to start.

This is the big one for me that I can remember but I'm not sure if I watch Ragingbull though.

I highly recommend Dexter such a fascinating character and a great well written tv show.

Shows that i didn't watch:

Community, Shield, Star trek, Starwars (anything with stars in it),

Never seen The Shield, so I'm rectifying that now.

Don't like it.

I stopped watching The Shield near the start of season 4 with every intention of watching the rest when I bought the boxset. I've had the boxset for nearly two years now and still haven't watched any more.

i think you will find it's a prequel and is a fun movie.

One of my friends regretted mentioning they hadn't watched ant Kurosawa before. Poor sod ended up with my collection and had to watch them all.

Yeah, going to watch it soon. No way am I going to like it as much as Yojimbo, but I'm a sucker for samurai films.

Does Sanjuro have a music 'theme' as great as Yojimbo does?
