My actual code worked and I downloaded it but aye when I went to play it it says you're not able to until 20th.

Bought the OPM, had a quick flick through my god that's an awesome FF feature. Art book sample is really cool too, will need to buy the full thing didn't know it existed. Looking forward to reading the lot properly.

Uh, oh. That has me worried now if mine isn't working.

That's why I was nervous about non UK copies- where the code is DLC. I've had issues with DLC in the past. Hopefully it works out !

Well. The intro is pretty dark. Pretty violent for FF game :slol:

I'm liking it though.

Thanks fella! Had a lot of fun writing it. As mad as it sounds, I could easily have written more! My art ed would have killed me if I tried though.

And that full art book is just lovely. I think it's really reasonably priced for what you get tbf.

Yeah awesome intro, strange seeing people actually dieing bloody deaths in FF. Played about 2 and a half hours so far, really enjoying it. The music  So many classic FF staples, its great, plus even has a world map.

Seems to be getting pretty favourable reviews so far, 8/10 IGN and Kotaku YES are two I seen on twitter.

£32.99 in Zavvis Mega Monday sale as well.

Having just gotten Dragon Age Origins I'll pick this up when it goes half price on live. In autumn.

How long/short a game is this?

edit: http://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=3515

Hmm. If that is correct I think I may be able to see quite a bit of it and beat it before Bloodborne is out.

Damn you play games fast  Will take me while to play that much. Saying that played for 5 hours today

Pros

- Music is brilliant, classic FF tunes with a twist
- All 14 party members feel unique
- Combat is a lot of fun
- Grandiose story of warring nations is interesting
- Lots of classic FF bits inc chocobo breeding, riding etc on world map
- Graphics are better than thought. Better than FFX HD

Cons

- Throws lots of big names of places and people at you from get go
- VOs pretty bad
- Difficulty level can get randomly hard and get wiped out
- Awful swinging camera but is ok when you learn to tame it

Having a lot of fun with it so far

The camera genuinely makes it difficult for me to play for long sessions - gives me a headache and makes me feel slightly nauseous.

Is the cam player controlled?

I really want to get this but I want to finish Persona 3 before Bloodborne so I don't think I'll have time since everything is getting dropped for BB regardless of completion so I wouldn't be able to do Type-0 justice before sidelining it.

Mostly, but it moves automatically a little when you move the character as well. It swings around wildly when you just nudge the analogue slightly, and there's a motion blur effect that exacerbates the issue - it's obviously been done to disguise the original PSP textures, but it's pretty horrible to look at in motion.

When you start the game for the first time (after the intro, from the title screen) you hear dialogue over a black screen. Spoken dialogue is incomplete, words cut out, but subs show dialogue in full. I turned subs off as going by their size during intro they are quite large, but have decided to keep 'em on for a while yet just to see how bad this dialogue glitch is. Not a great start to the game :slol: Looks lovely, mind.

One thing I love about *every* FF game and that's each game's logo art. This one doesn't disappoint...

Yeah absolutely love the logo, best one in some time.

Nearly 10 hours in, great game and become immune to the camera thankfully. Worlds opened up a fair bit and there's plenty stuff to do although towns are bland and all strawberry floated up. Got 3 summons which are pretty damn cool, there's slots for like another 20 which is mental.

Turns out this was caused by my soundbar. :fp:

I'm around 5 hours in and have done all of one mission :slol: Spent the rest of my time levelling up the team. I think the grind has got me again.

There's no way I'll be able to finish this in a acceptable manner before Bloodborne is out, so will come back to Type-0 it once I am done with that. Though thankfully it doesn't seem to be one of those games where you have to remember a lot of complex stuff so getting back into it shouldn't be a hassle.

Regarding the camera. I've found it to be fine when out and about but not impressed with it when turning in confined spaces.

So....is this a 'full fledged' Final Fantasy game? Or just a sort of short side-title before XV?

It's a port (with multiplayer removed) of a PSP game which was originally planned as a mobile game and is a spinoff of FF13
