Interesting 8-)

trying to do Mark 55 to get the 2x CP accessory. Damn that gooseberry fool is hard

I did that mark half way through chapter 11. I wanted to max out before going onto 12 so spent ages fighting those two massive things. It was taking to long so i went and got the growth egg. I managed it with pretty weak characters so youll be ok.

What did you do because my characters are pretty tough. I can take on those two fighting Behemough King & Megistotherian in 7 seconds

Also two characters are equipped with Ribbons

 I spammed death. I beat the chapter 11 boss then went back with death and spammed it. I think i upgraded her weapon as it increases the chance of death (i think). It only took 4 tries, it would have been 3 as i killed the main thing but got beaten by the little helpers.

Its called "Trapenzohedrons" i checked and the only way to get them is buy them. There is one other way but you need to use one to get three! and spend 2 mill on other components.

so basically 3 for the price of 2

Edit: you are correct. 5% drop rate though

I am not scared to fight them, been trying all day

Started playing again to get the treasure hunter achievement.

A nice tip for people struggling to make money: keep doing Mission 24 in the tower :) You get a moonblossom seed each time which sell for a high price. It should take you only 20 seconds to beat the boss that is right next to mission activation point. Quickest way to make money in the game I've found. Much faster than the adamantoise method.

Thanks for the tip.
The treasure hunter achievement/trophy isnt to hard to get, remember you can only find 5 at a time so transport out and back in again to refresh

Currently grinding in Grand Pulse, my characters are on approx 2000hp each (some more some less) really upgrading my characters slowly while completing some mission tasks (only done 4 I think) so the most cp after each battle im seeing is approx.. 2000 cp. Is it a good time to grind? or should I continue with my mission and come back to grinding afterwards?

Also I am finding the weapon upgrading really complicated... I think I only have Lightning's axis blade levelled up, and then again not that much

Did some research on teh internets to see what would be the best way to level up your weapons but it seems like there is no recommended way o_O

Still so far im enjoying the freedom I get on Grandpulse just fooling around in open field instead of running througha fixed corridor... When you frist walk into the open field it really Reminds me a lot of FFX12, the game just tells you to grind.

Go to Creature Comforts at a save point and buy Barbed Tails, they are 80 gil each. To buy 99 costs just shy of 8,000 gil. Add 4 of these at a time to a weapon until you get the max multiplier of x3 then apply other items you have which give a gooseberry fool load of EXP.

Turbojets or the Crankshafts are reasonable to use in large quantities when the multiplier is up to x3.

also.... are materials like millerite and other materials that finish with "-ite" used for some sort of final upgrade for your ultimate weapons.

I have read that any weapon can be transformed in an ultimate weapon, but am a bit sceptic about this to be fair

Basically you raise a weapon up to its * level (the initial weapons star at level 24, 2nd level weapons at 60 I think) and then you need a transformation catalyst (the -ite items) to turn it into the next level/form. Each character has 8 different weapons and each weapon has 3 levels/forms. To get ultimate weapons then you need trapezy thingies and you get those late in the game.

Obviously there are better weapons to start off this process than others as well. Certain weapons can end up with higher maximum strength/magic. The very best weapons can only be bought from the Gilgamesh shop which dosen't open until you defeat Mark 54 I think? I'm glad I have the guide or I'd have no idea about this.
