I agree 100% my best gaming experience, played over 100 hour doing pretty much everything the game had to offer and I never got board once!

I too plugged 100 hours of my life into XII, I loved it and found it crazy addictive. The world, design and gameplay were all stellar.

The story however, was super-pants, i didn't care about any of the characters nor what happened to them. Major waste, its story-arc was pathetic. Normally FF games disguise the fact you are just going from one place to another in succession but in XII it was painfully done.

Also the CG scenes lookes weirdly naff no? I actually preferred the in-game models a hundred fold.

Still great in so many ways, mind.

EDIT: Oh but yeah, IX is da best.

Same here, actually.

And here. I got to Vanille's eidolon in Chapter 11 and just gave up. Awful.

I must go back and finish it. I got stuck on Sazh's eidelon fight and stopped playing :fp:

What I've seen of FFX's cut scenes has forever put me off it.

"This is my story! It'll go the way I want it, or I'll end it here!" :fp:

I've only finished III and V, weirdly. I honestly really liked what I played of II, the levelling up system was interesting and I wouldn't bother trying to exploit it anyway. The constant empty rooms suck though.

One day though, that FFVI SNES cart will be mine, one day...

Despite being as different as ham and eggs, I wasn't overly fond of either XII or XIII. They both did things that didn't sit comfortably with me. In XIII it was the really just corridor structure, and in XII I disliked the battle system, amongst many other things. Preferred XIII, actually, Snow was kinda cool. :shifty: I think I've seriously gone off the Final Fantasy series of late.

A home console remake of VI would be absolutely amazing though. Whoever suggested it was spot on. There are so many parts of that game that would be ace with XIII level graphics. Take the mechanical walker things at the beginning.

Best Final Fantasy since XII has to be Four Heroes of Light. Wonderful game.

If they keep the battle system (possibly give you control of everyone if you want to), add some towns and make it slightly more free-roaming it'll be amaze.

Better than FFXIII Versus, blates :shifty:

Any info on it yet, or is it all gonna be announced at a later date?

They best not have canned Versus for a sequel to a gooseberry fool game.

A Virtual Console release would be nice first though. They already released IV (II). Why not VI (III)?
Id like to see the series go back to being a bit more Fantasy. 4 Heroes of Light was good because of this.
FFXV should be more like FFIX and DQIX.

It's being made side by side, but considering they are using the old engine, it should be a lot better.

Old Engine would still be a must buy for me man, I love XIII to pieces even in its low res form! :)

Amazing announcement, pretty much out the blue. Right back into XIII after beating the boss at Taejin Tower. Two weeks off so I'm going beast it. Must say I love it now I'm at the more exciting half.

2012? They showed a new trailer, with "Only for PS3 Worldwide" again and that was about it.

Apparently Nomura stood his ground and refused to let it go multiplatform
