True 'dat.

Personally, I think the games more suited to a remake are the 2D ones. 3 on the DS is awesome, so imagine some proper FFXIII style visuals in a slightly more story-enchanced remake of FF1 or 2.

FFII? Are you on crack? That game is worse than FFX.

I've never played it, but as they added a story to 3 on the DS they could go back and add a story to the early ones.

Or just remake 6, as it seems to be the fan favourite and more worthy of a remake than 7, being as how it's 2D and all.

They'll remake FFVII for handhelds. 3DS/PSP2 styleee.

I liked XII, despite the criticism it got, however I only really realised how good XII was when I played XIII.

XIII has its moments of being a good game, but it just lacks something.

I know it's not trendy but FFXIII is in my top ten games of all time so I'd love to see this. :shifty:

This. Going from the sprawling cities of XII to the closed off, dash through nature of XIII seemed like an odd change for the series.

Although being an enjoyable enough game to play, the one big fault I found with XIII was its total lack of charm and character.
Compared to classics like 6, 7, and 9, I just couldn't feel any connection with the characters and the overall story.

If part two does go ahead, hopefully Squenix can take on board the past criticisms and produce a memorable game.

Never could be bothered with XIII, I definately didnt give it enough time though and I am sure had I carried on for 4 hours I would have eventually enjoyed it. My completion rate for ff's aint great, in playing order:

FF VII
FF VIII strawberry floating roman numerals
FF 9
FF 10
FF 5 Got into the emulators, Got quite far, but didnt bother getting to the end
FF Chronicles, if I remember I also got quite far into this too.
FF 12 Did 120 hours but didnt see the ending, started playing something else
FF 13 - about 2 hours in

So I have only seen the ending of four of them :fp:

If I where to start them all again in order of enjoyment I would play 7, 12, 9, 10, 8, the rest.

Bottom line, have enough people completed FF13 to warrant a sequel?

I loved FF XIII, so I would definitely want to play FF XIII-2

I also liked FF II. It was very much ahead of its time. The way you could develop your characters any way you wanted to, train them to use certain weapons, magic, etc.

X is easily the best. Except for maybe VII. XIII is amazing though.

I agree 100% my best gaming experience, played over 100 hour doing pretty much everything the game had to offer and I never got board once!

PLAY | Persona 3 Reloaded [3h]
WATCH | Ted Lasso S3, HiJack S1, Red Dwarf S4, Dexter S2

Exactly how I feel, however I did like some of the characters, especially Lightning. I couldn't even be bothered to finish the game though.

Won't be buying the sequel, which will be a first for me, as I usually buy every major FF game.

Oh and my favourite FF is VIII. Love VII and IX as joint close seconds and X third. No other FF has come anywhere near how good these were for me.
