I like the way the music is different after a battle depending on how many stars you got

So for someone who completed FFXIII on the Xbox and PS3 and did practically 90% of the games content - but doesn't think they actually enjoyed the game, would you lovely folks who are playing it, recommended it?

Well I'm only about 4-5 hours into but there's considerably less angsty whining bullshit. The game would massively benefit from being based on Lightning rather than Serah but she and Noel are thus far a step up from Snow, Vanille and Hope. Plot-wise, only the basics have been covered but it seems interesting enough; perhaps relying too much on the gameplay mechanic of "hey! time travel!" but we shall see.

Battle system remains pretty damn fun but I don't think I'll ever be convinced by the whole "your 3rd party member is a monster you tame!" bullshit. It didn't work in Tales and it's not working here.

I'd type more but I'm drunk and tired.

Well all the reviews said the story is pretty much non-exist, they just set up time travel and thats more or less it I think. I've only done the first 45 minutes or so but strawberry float me the dialogue is so bad.

So long as there's no Vanille I already know I'm gonna like this more than XIII.

God, everytime towards the start of the game where it forcibly made me play as Sazh and Vanille I just lost all my enthusiasm.

I'm liking it although I wish I had a full party rather than serah, Noel and a monster

Gandalf, moogles are a series staple.

It's like saying those yellow birds are stupid chickens that should stay in Harvest Moon.

Unless... joke troll? :shifty:

I'd forgotten how amazingly satisying this battle system was. Got absolutely slaughtered by a boss 3 times in a row. Bit of a mixup with some roles and paradigm sets and slaughtered him in less than 1:30. 8-)

How they went from the dullsville 12 system to this I'd love to know.

Plot's still a bit weak and I want to slaughter the moogle but otherwise, I'm enjoying this a fair bit.
