Aye, it almost becomes more of a strategy game. The battle system is very strategic.

I have no problem with moogles per se but it's always, always the voice of these characters that annoy the hell out of me because it's some falsetto high pitched voice. Mascot characters are an abomination.

Yeah, it's another one of their things. :fp:

That said there is hope they realise how horrible it is:
You get the ability to throw the little scrote at as many walls and bottomless pits as you like. Shame he/she/it comes back though...

Go do some other worlds?

once you get the throw moggle ability which you should either have or nearly get, then go back to the atlas level and you'll be able to unlock a new area with a new gateway use a wild artifact and you can run around in a diffrent time zone and level up a bit more

For anyone else who cannot be buggered using their brain to figure out the Hands of Time anomaly on their own, here's a handy little site which will help you out. It's in german but you don't need to read it to be able to use it.

Thought they'd at least try and tuck away the DLC in this- just got to the casino, and when you click on the 'tell me how to play the card tables option', it just says that this will be available in future DLC. Nice :fp:

20 hours in and still no end of chapter 4 in sight. A rather nice surprise about this game is that I feel oddly compelled to complete the sidequests as opposed to the monster slaying of 13. Perhaps it's a carry over from when I was playing Radiant Historia.

One thing I am disappointed in (aside from the plot in general natch) is the lack of change to the areas. For all your jumping around in time, I would have expected that in a few hundred years there would have been some noticable changes to the environment. Land formations changing, the excavation teams getting gooseberry fool done and uncovering more of the damn ruins.

That said, for a game I had low to none expectations about, this is better than expected.

Definitely not up to the same visual quality as XIII, imo. Looks a bit rougher around the edges. Still good-looking for the most part, just a bit less glossy.

Just played through the prologue - haven't got a clue what it's all about, but it was...well, it was okay. TBH, I spent most of the time just passively watching impossibly pretty girls and boys with interesting haircuts talking about things I couldn't fathom, whilst occasionally reacting to a random button prompt. The battles seem faster. I hope there's an option to fix that (as in slow them down).

Anyone else have the install glitch on 360 - disk refusing to install without explanation? Finally figured out if you don't sign in to your profile the disk will install to the HDD. Apparently something to do with the last 360 GUI update.

Anyway, installing the game now. The game told me it knew I had an XIII save already on the system and there would be a small gift for that. Should I be excited?

The PS3 version gave me a theme in the extras menu. (The PS3 version also doesn't ask you to install to the HDD funnily enough as well)

It also said something about an in-game item but I have no idea what that in-game item is, I didn't see anything special in my inventory.
