Also, friendly reminder that this is for Fanfest, which is starting in a couple of hours.

Here's the schedule in GMT with a link to the stream at the bottom.

Yeah, good shout, Met - I'm gonna take a look at the 18:30 start.

Do you reckon there will be any big changes / announcements?

I imagine it's mostly just going to be 4.5 stuff to get it out of the way, with a little bit of 5.0 thrown in. We'll at least get a tease for a new job at some point, but leaks and data mining have suggested we might be getting one early, so there's a possibility on that front.

[End of keynote presentation]

Wow! A lot of cool-looking stuff... I enjoyed it and I suspect more of you hardcore FF XIV players will have gotten even more out of it!

New race is like 99.9% confirmed to be Viera from the Ivalice games. That's pretty much all I was wanting.

That was a good strawberry floating keynote. I wasn't really expecting nearly that much from the first one.

Really need to get back to this. Haven't played in a few months now.

New Job class sounds interesting as well.

Kaz(Doeragynn) and I will be heading to EU fanfest in early 2019, looking forward to it. It's closet thing I'll get of one of my childhood wishes to attend E3/some huge gaming event :slol:

I'm taking break since last week since I'm in middle of Persona 4 Golden on PSTV and soon Let's Go Pikachu tomorrow, but I'll def. try out Blue Mage come 4.5 -- I know it's limited but it still looks fun enough to give it a go.

So, the fanfest.

Was cool! It's my first con/gaming event so it's really interesting to be there in person rather than just watching it on stream and when I haven't done much I wanted to do (queues are pain) I still had fun doing minigames and got enough for a prize.

SnB looks great, can't wait for more information from JP fanfest. Really hyped to play the new expansion - hoping it's better than SB. SB when great it felt like they weren't doing much things are new and just used old ideas, and generally lot of people weren't happy with it.

But no matter how rough it is I do love and appreciate FFXIV, as long as I remember to take break if I'm not having fun and play when I have urge to do so it's all goos

May start playing this again and get more than a few quests done..I grabbed FFXIV with the expansions up to err something beginning with H and may well give it another bash.. heavensword?... Anyway, I'm kinda tempted to start a new character completely and get a fresh start. I may join that Omega sever that everyone seems to be on. Can't remember what server I was on.

Heavensward is first expansion, but I'd hold off getting SB until Shadowbringers comes out since it's likely that will include Stormblood, unless you managed to get end of HW and wanted to do more.

I'm not on Omega, but I can still world visit you lot when world visit arrives.

Oh, it may be stormboood, it was a key on CDkeys and cost like £6

Edit: it was £14 and is called the complete edition.
