Healers don't have to wait too long for dungeons and 16 on is Sastasha so just go nuts.

I've been spamming leves to get my Thaumaturge up to about the same so if you have the allowances for it that works too.

Thanks for the dailies replies. I'm tempted to start a new character as a tank because it takes ages to find duties with my Black Mage.

Don't bother.

Just use the same character and visit either the Galdiator or Marauder guilds.

I forgot that a character can learn any class, even though I did got my character up to a level 15 archer in order to turn him into a Black Mage :fp: Thanks reminding me. I was actually going to make a new character to train it as a tank the other day but I couldn't be bothered top use the character designer. It's a good thing that I was feeling lazy :P

Okay, posted something similar in the Diablo thread as that's also for sale, but I fancy another MMO fix after pummeling Destiny.

As someone who has never finished a FF game, and got about 10 hours into FFVII before abandoning it, please sell this to me. I know it's not typical of the series, but I don't really have much experience of MMOs either.

I need to get back into this and upgrade to PS4 version.

Was my first and only ever MMO, its easily accessible enough for a newbie but still absolutely lots to do if you want to get stuck in. As you say its really different to FF7, more like FF12 in that its a more classic fantasy setting (elves etc) and battles are not turn based but enemies appear on the map.

I played until about level 25 I think by myself and had a great time, there are bigger dungeon raids which I done with a few randoms and had success so you don't necessarily need to join a guild (I think) but I'd imagine would be even more fun if you did.

I wasn't really huge Final Fantasy fan, sure I loved FF9 and I really enjoyed FF10 but I couldn't call myself fan. I bought this in 2014 because "lol I'll play it for while then never touch it again" and I'm still playing it off & on, mostly on past few months.

Basically, be able to switch to any class on fly (though if you do it outside of safe zones you'll get cooldown) so you're not locked to one class - if you decide you want to take break from Lancer/Dragoon and go heal, you can go and pick up CNJ (which becomes White Mage later on) and do healing. It starts slow (Lancer at start is reallllly slow) but does get better later on.

I also happen to have free code from Humble Bundle so if you want I can fetch it for you, that way you don't have to pay one penny for it to try it out (since you also get free month from it too!)

EDIT: If you guys are on Cerberus and is still guildless, and want to join one I'm in then let me know on Steam or in-game /tell. I do have two characters that I play as though (Zu Dzigo being my alt) but I'm mostly on my main character :>

Ah cheers Seven, but I only have a PS4 so can't play the PC version!

Though wouldn't I also need to splash out £20 for the DLC? And there's a monthly fee?

Indeed, you will need the PS4 version, Parksey - but there is some good news too:

> The game is cross platform i.e. PC and PS4 players can play together in the same game (I've met Seven online even though I'm on PS4; though Seven does have the PC and PS4 versions!)
> The subscription setup is outside of PSN so you can get the normal PC-type discount rate i.e. it's approx £25 for three months
> FFX IV is currently on sale in the PSN store for £19.99 and that includes your first one month of play; or you can try a trial for free

I'd recommend that you use a bluetooth keyboard connected up to your PS4; it makes text chat way more easier - I'd even suggest that it is a necessity.

I've not played it for a few months now but I had great fun when I did. I'm gonna get back into it shortly... and hopefully I'll be in Seven's guild :toot: .

Jawa you may have just sold me again :slol:

Edit - Too good a deal not to buy, purchased. I shall re-enter Eorzea tomorrow :datass:

There's no point buying the expansion pack until you finish the base game unless you really want to use one of the new races. Check out the free trial and see if you like the game. I really enjoy it and wish that I had more time to play it.

Well, you can make use of the higher XP cap towards the end as you can easily hit level 50 and waste gained XP, but yeah its all post-game stuff.

I'm at the bit where you decide which stats to boost using books on your relic. For White Mage is determination (or really any stat) EVER worth it over Mind? Like this book gives +2 mind, but the Det could give +10 for all I know.

I tried looking to see how much of a boost each book gives but couldn't find anything and actually found less than nothing on how much Det is equivalent to one Mind.

Anyone with WHM experience know?

Ahh fair enough Parksey :)

If you're on about old relic, it's worthless now as new relic can be started without doing it. But if you're doing it for completion sake, the stats don't really matter. You do need to do all of the books and primary stat is always more important than secondary stats.

Had no idea about that second Relic. I take it it's in HW area as I haven't seen anything about it yet and am only at Whorleater quest right now.

Yeah, you just need to beat HW story and it becomes unlockable. If you keep going with your current relic though you can trade the completed version (bear in mind it will take long, long time) without needing to do FATE grinding for crystals to get i170 weapon.

I think I've got a bit to go until I can start Relic v2 and I've started so I may as well see how far I can take it.

 I want that mount. Shame I'm 90k short in MGP away from buying the mount :(

I'm taking small break on FFXIV as I'm more focused on Far Cry 4, although I've managed to hit Lv60 Blacksmith last night and got few i170 gear (which is better than i180 gear cause you can meld the materia on i170) and was able to HQ-craft one of new relic items to sell :D

Not done much in terms of combat though. Bit burned out on it, it's been crafting/gathering as of the moment on FFXIV.

Decided to try and sort a lancer to go with my lvl 30 Paladin and 55 White Mage.

Also got a 26 Thaumaturge which I SHOULD get to 30 but I really don't feel like black mage.

I'm struggling to play enough and I've just gone level 25 Archer :slol:

Loving it, just joined Free Company and Grand Company for first time :toot:
