So, according to you, who used Donner extensively until he was your most powerful character, he's the most powerful character. Incredible insight. I could say Kellem is by far the most powerful character in the game because I've powered him up so much and my opinion would hold the same weight as what you're saying.

I guess the authors of the wiki are wrong, even though they've played and replayed the game far more than anyone posting in this thread put together.

Most powerful character would have to be Donnel's child as you can pass his ability onto the child among the mother's skill thus it can be potentially deadly.

I also find Frederick bit useless as the game went on. Still decent tank character though so I kept him around and use him every now and then.

But I still love using Donnel. Dat stat increase every level :datass:

I'm not talking about playing and replaying the game, I'm talking about your first (and probably only) playthrough of the game. Donnel's ability makes him the most powerful character, or certainly the easiest person to make powerful just by using him.

Nice sneaky little backtrack, there. So now you're not sure?

Neither am I, I'm saying the people who update and edit the wiki know more about the game and series in general than any of us, and would know which character is the most powerful.

I'm sure. At least for a normal first playthrough he should be the most powerful character you have.

As for the Wiki, I'm sure they know what they are talking about, I'm not so sure you have interpreted what's on there correctly, certainly not if you think Frederick is the most powerful character. Perhaps you should just play more of the game and leave the wiki alone.

Fredrick is the most power character you possess at the start of the game and will be so for quite a while if you use him. However like all token promoted class units that you start with in Fire Emblem games, he can quickly become irrelevant when you start upgrading your base units.

Donnel has that nice ability boosting his stat growth but that doesn't make him the most powerful character. For a start his class options are not that good, especially so when you consider everyone has such piss poor resistance which makes magic even more powerful than usual (for example in Fire Emblem GBA, Canas with Luna was one of the very few units that could actually defeat the final boss). Furthermore, you can skirmish as much as you want and buy as many stat boosting items as you want which really makes Donnel's ability not as valuable as you think.

After reading there was a 20% discount on play-asia items, I ended up having a little browse of the site and found this.

How much are my GBA Fire Emblem games likely to be worth?

They still hold their value, much like most other Nintendo first party titles.

Took me a couple of goes, but as long as you build a decent wall - one that protects her from ranged attackers - you should be fine. You can leave two of your strongest units to roam and pick off attackers from outside that defensive barrier.

Yeah it really does towards the end. Does make a nice change though. Some FE games in the past have petered out towards the end in terms of difficulty.

I've done that before just being flippant/lazy with a few enemy units left.

Back to this again after a week break. Mission 21 was surprisingly easy, too.

After that difficulty spike in the late teens this has gotten quite easy again.

On mission 25 now which I can only assume is the last one. Everything about mission 23 was awesome. I have so many side-missions to unlock once I'm done with the main story. Only have about 6 of them :fp:

[Edit] This final endgame mission is a tough son of a bitch.
