Fire Emblem Heroes is a free-to-play tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for iOS and Android devices.

Beginning with a grid map that measures 8×6, players are able to summon characters from the Fire Emblem series to attack opposing enemies.

Fire Emblem Heroes' currency system is orbs, which can either replenish all of a player's stamina or be used to acquire heroes. Missions may cost more than one stamina to play while stamina is recovered at a rate of one point per five minutes to a total of 50. Orbs are either earned by completing in-game activities or paying with real money.

I might have to delete it. I don't think I can bear having an icon that carries the name "FE".

I'll give it a go, as long as it doesn't spend too much time with things like this on my screen

I stopped playing the Fire Emblem series after the DS port of the original Famicom release. The 3DS releases seem to pander to that Disgae 5 moe-moe touch weebo crowd now with baka-memes, pedobait and banal anime issues, does this double down on that?

I can see the maps are freaking tiny which is to be somewhat expected, but my tablets in the shop so I cant play it. Frees always good though.

50 stamina seems a lot in this, presumably when I get further it'll start costing a lot more for the battles, like 10 or 20 stamina.

It does (today's difficult encounter battle costs 10)

However, for those of us with nothing to spend our Platinum Points on, you can get a potion to refill the meter for 100 coins.

Played it for a while yesterday, and I like it a lot. Story is pish, need to be connected is annoying and it loses a decent chunk of the tactical depth, but I'm enjoying it. Looks great, and it still feels like Fire Emblem (lite). Will probably turn into a grind-fest later though.

Edit- My ID is 8656674366 if anyone wants to add it

Kachua (Catria) is seriously cute in this game.

The different artists in this game seem to be having that affect. Characters like Elise from Fates look older than she did in Fates where's the character staydead posted now looks several years younger than in Shadow Dragon/New Mystery of the Emblem.

I like Fire Emblem but could do without the Paedo art. Showed my mate the Direct and he was just put off right away by that.

It's sad what's been happening to this series since Awakening with all this pandering to the weaboo crowd. Some of the characters in Fates look like they walked off the set of a porno.

Unfortunately this gooseberry fool is probably what's keeping the series alive.

It is what's keeping the series alive and what has made it a major IP for Nintendo. The obsessive fan market is a big money maker.

Shame really because the art direction for the Shadow Dragon and Mystery of the Emblem remakes were a good change of direction but the games flopped. They were probably the first FE games to have a clear art direction wheres all the previous games the art direction was just a by product of it being made by a Japanese studio (unless you want to make a case for Genealogy).

Here's some timeline examples using Marth and a few other characters.
Mystery of the Emblem (1994)
Genealogy of the Holy War (1996)
Binding Blade (2002)
Path of Radiance (2005)
Radiant Dawn (2007)
Shadow Dragon (2008)
New Mystery of the Emblem (2010)
Awakening (2012)
Fates (2015)
