I actually couldn't give a sit what the paper publishes as i never buy it.I'm just surprised anyone is actually surprised.It's a gossip rag - this is what its readers want. Would their readers even care though? She's not famous, none of the readers know who she is, most escorts probably have legitimate day jobs. Escorting isn't illegal (although I doubt she declares it as taxable income..), being an escort doesn't impair her ability to be a firefighter, yet it's very unlikely she'll be able to continue in that profession now this has made the national press.

It's just scummy, cruel reporting from the gutter rag.

Her employers would have found out sooner or later. She chose to do this knowing full well that people wouldn't approve. Bad luck. She could have got a got a different second job if she'd needed one. One that didn't involve renting her twat out.

Yeah, that. I honestly don't get it. She's.. Just a person. Like, a regular Josephine. One of 70 million people who live here. Literally no one but her immediate friends, family, and co-workers have any interest in this.

It's in the public interest because people are interested in it. Sex always sells. Stuff like this will always happen because too many people buy worthless rags like the sun. They are giving their readers what they want. I have little sympathy for her. She's a public servant and she's naive to think she could keep it quiet. It's news to some. Whether you like it or not.

Generally, when referring to whether or not something is in the public interest, they don't literally mean it as whether any members of the public will find it interesting.
