The Perils of Willy on the Commodore Vic-20. It was around the time that Jet Set Willy was incredibly popular on the Spectrum and C64 and I was thrilled when Software Projects released a version for the Vic. I really loved playing it and I'd say that it was the first videogame that I became addicted to.
I learnt the game off by heart and managed to complete the (IIRC) 32 levels (screens) in something like two-and-a-half hours. I have no idea how I managed to listen to the five-second looping soundtrack for that long

Having completed it, I noticed that I had beaten the high score published in Personal Computer Games magazine and so I sent off my own score. I was so excited that I would get my score and name printed! But... the magazine ceased publishing the next month
